Yes. Corsair lists the Hydro Series H60 as compatible with AMD AM4. The H60 uses its existing AMD mounting bracket, so you do not need Corsair’s separate CW-8960046 AM4 retention bracket kit when that bracket is present. For a used or incomplete cooler, check the exact revision and included mounting hardware before installing it.
Which H60 models does Corsair list as AM4-compatible?
Corsair’s H60 (2018) product page lists AMD AM4 among its supported sockets. Corsair’s socket compatibility table, updated January 17, 2024, lists the H60 for AMD AM2, AM3 and AM4. The installation guidance specifically names the H60 (2018); check your cooler’s model or revision and use the instructions that match it.

Does the H60 need a separate AM4 bracket?
No, not if the H60’s existing AMD bracket is present. Corsair’s AM4-AMD Retention Bracket Kit page identifies the H60 as compatible with the existing AMD bracket out of the box. Corsair’s AM4 socket compatibility and bracket installation guide likewise names the H60 (2018) as a model that does not require the separate kit.
Do not buy the CW-8960046 kit solely because you have an H60. If the AMD bracket is missing, first identify the cooler revision and determine which replacement hardware fits it; the model’s general AM4 compatibility does not tell you what an individual used listing includes.

What to check before installing a used H60
- Confirm the cooler’s model or revision, particularly whether it is the H60 (2018).
- Check that the AMD mounting bracket and the required screws or clips are actually included and in usable condition.
- Match the mounting instructions to the cooler revision rather than relying on the compatibility label alone.
How the H60 (2018) mounts to AM4
Corsair’s H60 (2018) guidance uses the stock AMD mounting clips: align the cooler’s bracket with the clips, then slip the screw-clip loops over the retention hooks. Follow the guide for your exact revision and make sure the loops are engaged as instructed before treating the cooler as installed.
What AM4 compatibility does—and does not—confirm
AM4 compatibility establishes that the cooler’s mounting system supports that socket. It does not establish cooling performance with a particular CPU, clearance in a specific case, radiator placement suitability, the condition of a used cooler, or whether a seller has included all required parts. Those questions need to be checked separately for your processor, case and the actual unit.
