The DeLonghi DEBETA60 is a discontinued 60 cm stainless-steel canopy rangehood, not a coffee machine. It can be configured for ducted or recirculating use, but published specifications vary across documents, so check the actual hood before judging performance, buying parts or planning an installation. CHOICE’s public listing confirms the model details but does not expose its test scores or detailed results.
What kind of rangehood is the DEBETA60?
The DEBETA60 is a wall-mounted canopy hood in DeLonghi’s DEBETA family, which also included 70 cm and 90 cm variants. DeLonghi family literature describes it as “Suitable for re-circulating or fully ducted.” Because the model is discontinued, new stock, replacement parts and warranty coverage depend on the country and seller; do not assume a used unit retains the warranty stated in an older specification sheet.

Can you duct it or use it in recirculation mode?
Both configurations are documented, but they work differently. Ducting carries cooking fumes outside through a connected exhaust route. Recirculation passes air through filters and returns it to the room; compatible carbon filters are needed for this setup. The actual outlet on your hood and the parts supplied with it determine what is practical.

Why do the published DEBETA60 specifications differ?
The available documents do not establish whether the discrepancies result from different versions, test conditions or listing conventions. In particular, do not combine the airflow figures or treat the two lighting descriptions as if they apply to one universal configuration. For fit and performance, prioritize the rating plate and manual supplied with the actual hood, then verify dimensions and fittings directly.

The published dimensions also use different formats and do not reconcile cleanly. Before installation or replacement, check the model plate, the manual for that hood, the duct route, mounting clearance and the total chimney height. CHOICE’s listed mounting-height range and the specification sheet’s stated overall height are different measurements; neither should be used alone to plan a fit.
What do the independent listings establish?
CHOICE has a public DEBETA60 listing and indicates that an expert review exists, but its score, ducted performance subscores, noise readings and detailed pros and cons are behind its membership wall. Its recirculating listing shows a 60% recirculation-mode figure and an estimated annual carbon-filter cost of A$64; the public information does not explain the methodology or provide the broader comparative results. Those details are not enough to call the hood recommended or assign it an overall test score.

ProductReview.com.au labels the model discontinued and, on a page crawled 7 October 2026, shows four owner reviews and a 2.9 overall rating. That small set of accounts is anecdotal, not a controlled test or a reliable estimate of long-term failure rates.
Which replacement filters and lamp are listed for owners?
Carbon filters
Unilux’s August 2021 compatibility guide lists a ULX252 carbon-filter two-pack for the DEBETA60. The guide gives 3–4 months as general replacement guidance; it is not established here as a model-specific DeLonghi instruction. Check the filter shape and the hood’s manual before ordering.

Lighting
Wholesale Appliance Supplies lists lamp part W0278516 as a GU-10, 230 V, 50 W lamp for the DEBETA60. That matches CHOICE’s halogen-globe listing but conflicts with the later specification sheet’s two 3.5 W ECOLED lights. Inspect the installed lamp and fitting before buying a replacement; the part listing does not prove it suits every version.

- The model plate and manual match the specific appliance and its dimensions.
- The hood can be safely mounted with the required clearance and chimney height.
- A ducted route and suitable outlet are available, or recirculation components and a compatible carbon filter are present.
- The metal grease filters, controls, lights and fan operate, and parts you may need can still be obtained.
- The seller can explain any remaining warranty in writing; an old specification sheet’s two-year warranty is not proof of current coverage.
If fit, filter compatibility or parts availability cannot be verified, measure the existing space and duct route before choosing a current 60 cm canopy hood. Compare its installation dimensions and outlet with the actual kitchen, rather than relying on the DEBETA60’s inconsistent published figures.
