In Windows, try a two-finger tap or press the touchpad’s lower-right corner to right-click. To find touchpad options, open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad in Windows 11, or Start > Settings > Devices > Touchpad in Windows 10. Windows documents customization for some three- and four-finger gestures, but does not provide one universal setting to remap the standard touchpad right-click action.
How do you right-click on a Windows touchpad?
Microsoft documents two ways to show right-click commands on a touchpad:

- Tap with two fingers.
- Press the lower-right corner of the touchpad.
Try both methods; available behavior can depend on the touchpad and its driver. Microsoft notes that some touchpad gestures work only with precision touchpads. Microsoft’s Windows touch gestures guide describes the documented gestures and settings.

Can you change the two-finger right-click gesture?
Windows’ general touchpad gesture controls describe dropdowns for customizing three-finger and four-finger gestures. They do not document a universal Windows control for changing or disabling the standard two-finger tap or lower-right-corner right-click action. Check the options available on your particular device rather than assuming that every touchpad supports remapping.
What if the touchpad setting or gesture is missing?
Some gesture options require precision touchpad hardware. In Settings, look for the message “Your PC has a precision touchpad.” If it is absent, enhanced touchpad controls may instead be provided by the computer maker’s software.
