This changes the shortcut’s tile—not the installed Music app’s underlying icon.

Open Shortcuts and tap the control to create a new shortcut.

Add the Open App action, tap the app selection, and choose Music. Apple describes Open App as an action that launches an app: Apple’s Open App action guide.

Open the shortcut’s details, then tap Add to Home Screen. Apple’s instructions are in its guide to adding a shortcut to the Home Screen.

Under Home Screen Name and Icon, tap the icon. Choose Choose Photo to use an image in Photos, Choose File to select an image file, or Take Photo to capture a new image.

Set the label you want to appear below the tile, then tap Add.

Apple notes that a Home Screen shortcut can use a photo from your photo library as its icon. The resulting tile is a shortcut to Music, rather than a replacement for the app’s installed icon.

Remove the original Music tile if you want
If you want only the custom shortcut on the Home Screen, remove the original Music app tile. Press and hold the original icon, choose Remove App, then choose Remove from Home Screen—not the option to delete the app. Music remains available in the App Library and can be added back to the Home Screen. See Apple’s instructions for finding apps in the App Library.

Change the look of all Home Screen icons instead
For a coordinated look without making a special Music image, use iPhone’s Home Screen customization controls. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Customize. Depending on your iOS version, the available controls include icon size and appearance options such as light, dark, automatic, clear, or a tint. These settings affect the Home Screen broadly; they do not assign a unique photo to Music. Apple’s Home Screen customization guide describes the available controls.
