Change the GoFullPage export format
- Open the GoFullPage extension’s Options page in Chrome.
- Choose the image format or PDF size you want. GoFullPage’s getting-started article says these settings, along with the save-as dialog, are configured on the Options page: What is GoFullPage?
- Capture the webpage.
- On the result page, select Download image or Download PDF.

Choose PNG or JPEG for image quality and size
PNG is a lossless image format, so it is the better fit when preserving image data matters. JPEG is compressed and may produce a smaller file, but the size and visual result depend on the page and capture. The official GoFullPage sources do not specify a numeric JPEG quality control, compression level, or expected byte reduction.
If file size matters, export the same capture as both JPEG and PNG, then compare their actual sizes and appearance. Choose the version that meets your use case; there is no documented percentage saving to expect.

Save a continuous single-page PDF
In the extension’s Options page, set PDF Size to full image if you want the capture on one continuous PDF page. GoFullPage’s FAQ identifies that setting as the single-page option: GoFullPage FAQ.
This is a page-layout choice, not a documented PDF compression setting. Use standard paper-sized pages instead when the PDF is intended for conventional printing or page-by-page reading.

What to expect with very long pages
GoFullPage captures a page by scrolling through its visible sections. Its Chrome Web Store listing notes that very large pages may be split into images in separate tabs because Chrome may not be able to store them as one image. If the result is divided, inspect the generated tabs and download the needed image output; choosing “full image” for a PDF concerns PDF page layout and does not establish that Chrome can combine an unusually large capture into one image.

Troubleshooting
- You cannot find a quality slider: the reviewed official sources do not document a numeric quality slider. Look for the image-format setting in Options and use JPEG or PNG as appropriate.
- The exported image is still too large: compare JPEG and PNG versions of the same capture. GoFullPage publishes no guaranteed reduction, so check the saved files rather than assuming one.
- Your PDF has multiple pages: choose PDF Size “full image” in Options before capturing or exporting. This controls the PDF page layout.
- A huge capture appears in several tabs: the store listing says Chrome may split very large pages into separate images. Check each result rather than assuming the capture is a single file.
- The option names or placement differ: the documented navigation comes from a 2020 getting-started article, and the extension interface may have changed. Check the current Options page and the live store listing.
