Each entry names one species and one stat, then supplies five values in the game’s growth-stage order. Windows and Linux servers use different configuration folders, and the exact syntax is community-verified rather than documented by the game developer, so back up the file and test every change on the current server build.

What you are changing
Path of Titans reads server-session settings from Unreal Engine configuration files. Dinosaur base stats are overridden with lines beginning CurveOverrides=. The override identifies a curve by name and supplies values for the dinosaur’s five growth stages. This is different from changing a single global difficulty switch: you normally need one line for every species-and-stat combination you want to alter.

CurveOverrides=(CurveName="MyDino.Core.MaxHealth",Values=(400,550,750,900,1150))Replace MyDino with the species identifier used by your server configuration and replace the five numbers with the values you want at each growth stage. The example numbers are illustrative; they are not a recommended balance setting.
Before editing: version, access and a safe backup
Confirm the server build
Stat values can change with patches. A Fandom dinosaur-statistics page is identified as current for 10/06/2026 and patch 0.0.0.52021h1. Use that sheet, or an equivalent current reference, to record the unmodified values before designing an override. Do not assume an older table still matches your build.
No official CurveOverrides reference was located in the developer’s public blog index. The syntax below therefore reflects community guides and should be treated as community-verified, not vendor-verified. Keep a record of the game version, the original value, your new value and the date of each change.
Back up the configuration
- Open the server’s file manager, FTP/SFTP client or host control panel.
- Find
Game.iniin the active server configuration folder. - Download or copy it before editing. Name the copy with a date, such as
Game.ini.backup-2026-10-14. - If a separate
CurveOverrides.inialready exists, back that up as well.
A malformed quote, comma or parenthesis can prevent an entry from loading. A backup gives you a known-good file to restore instead of trying to repair several edits at once.

Find the correct configuration file
Community host guides list these paths, but they also disagree on exact folder naming. Look at the folders that actually exist in your server installation rather than creating a parallel path by guesswork.

Some guides describe a separate CurveOverrides.ini placed beside Game.ini, using the same [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession] header. Because support for that arrangement is not established by an official document, start with the active Game.ini unless your host or an existing installation clearly uses the separate file. Never edit a similarly named file in a backup, staging or local-client directory.
Understand the CurveOverrides line
The five-part structure
The general form is:
CurveOverrides=(CurveName="Species.StatPath",Values=(stage1,stage2,stage3,stage4,stage5))There are three details that matter:
- One curve name: the name combines the species identifier with a stat path, such as
MyDino.Core.MaxHealth. - Five values: the values correspond to the game’s five growth stages. Every stage must be supplied for each stat; do not provide only an adult value.
- Exact punctuation: keep the equals sign, quotation marks, commas and parentheses in the same arrangement as the example.
The sources establish the five-stage requirement but do not provide an official list of stage labels or a developer-maintained naming reference. Preserve the game’s existing stage order when replacing values, and test a juvenile and an adult rather than assuming the first number is the stage you have in mind.

Use the species name or internal identifier accepted by the server’s curve table, not a translated nickname or an arbitrary label. Community examples use a placeholder such as MyDino; replace it with the identifier used in the current game data. If a line has no effect, an incorrect species identifier is one of the first things to check.

Core-stat paths commonly listed by community tables include:

The table names categories and examples, not a complete authoritative schema. Copy the exact curve name from a current community table or an existing working configuration for your game version. Case, punctuation and path segments should be treated as significant.
Step-by-step: change a dinosaur’s base stat
- Schedule a maintenance window. Record the current player population and announce that the server may need to be restarted. A restart after saving is commonly reported as necessary, but the available source summaries do not verify that behavior against an official page.
- Open the active file. Navigate to the Windows or Linux
Saved/Configpath that exists on the running server and openGame.inias plain text. - Locate or add the session header. Find
[/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession]. If the header is absent, add it on its own line before the overrides. Do not put the entries under an unrelated Unreal Engine section. - Choose one species and one stat. Start with a single low-risk change, such as a health or stamina curve, so you can identify mistakes quickly.
- Write all five values. For example:
[/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession]
CurveOverrides=(CurveName="MyDino.Core.MaxHealth",Values=(400,550,750,900,1150))- Check the value order. The five numbers must follow the game’s growth-stage order. Keep the values as numbers inside the inner parentheses; do not add a sixth value or omit a stage.
- Add additional curves one line at a time. For another stat, add another complete
CurveOverridesline rather than trying to combine several curve names into one line. - Save without rich-text formatting. Ensure the file remains named
Game.ini, notGame.ini.txt, and that your editor has not replaced straight quotation marks with typographic quotes. - Restart or reload during the maintenance window. A restart is the safest test procedure because the summaries do not establish a universally supported hot-reload method. If your host documents a specific reload action, follow that host instruction.
- Test in game. Check a newly spawned or newly logged-in dinosaur at more than one growth stage. Compare the observed value with your worksheet, then test combat, movement or resource drain only after the raw stat appears correct.
Useful patterns beyond basic health
Stamina, weight and resource limits
Use the same five-value pattern for MaxStamina, CombatWeight, BodyFoodAmount, MaxHunger and MaxThirst when those exact curve names are present in the current table. Keep capacity changes separate from depletion-rate changes in your notes: increasing a maximum does not necessarily make the resource drain more slowly.

CurveOverrides=(CurveName="Styracosaurus.Multiplier.HealthRecovery.Crouching",Values=(...))Replace the ellipsis with five numeric values; it is shown here only to demonstrate the naming pattern. The example identifies a crouching health-recovery multiplier for Styracosaurus. It does not establish recommended numbers, the full list of movement curves or whether every multiplier uses the same suffix. Copy the exact path from a current curve table before editing.
Global settings
Some settings are not attached to a dinosaur. A community guide gives this example:
CurveOverrides=(CurveName="Global.LoginDebuffDuration",Values=(60))This uses a single value rather than five. Its attribution is low confidence, and the available material does not document the setting’s unit or scope in an official reference. Treat global entries as a separate, experimental category: verify the exact name, keep a backup and test with a controlled login before deploying it to a public server.
How to validate a change
Use a before-and-after worksheet
For each curve, record the species identifier, exact curve name, original five values, replacement five values, game patch and test result. This prevents a later balance adjustment from becoming impossible to audit. If you change several curves, test them in batches that share one purpose, such as survivability or travel speed.
Check each growth stage
Because an override contains five values, an adult test alone can hide an error in the first four positions. Create a test plan that checks at least one early-growth character, one middle-growth character and one adult. Confirm that the observed progression follows the intended direction instead of merely matching the final number.
Compare against the current baseline
Use the statistics reference identified for patch 0.0.0.52021h1 and dated 10/06/2026 as a baseline only if your server is on that build. If your patch differs, re-check every value. A line that was correct before a balance update can become an unintended buff or nerf after the game changes its native curve.
Troubleshooting
The server starts, but the stat does not change
- Confirm that you edited the active Windows or Linux server folder, not a local client or backup.
- Check that the line is below
[/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession]. - Verify the species identifier and every segment of the stat path, including capitalization and punctuation.
- Confirm that five values are present for a dinosaur curve and that they are numeric.
- Restart the server if you only saved the file. The source summaries do not confirm hot reload.
- Remove other new lines temporarily and test one override in isolation.
The server reports a configuration or startup error
- Restore the backup immediately if the server will not load.
- Compare the failing line with the known-good pattern:
CurveOverrides=(CurveName="...",Values=(...)). - Look for a missing quote, comma or closing parenthesis.
- Check that your editor did not insert smart quotes, hidden formatting or a second file extension.
- Reapply one change at a time after the server starts normally.
The result is far too strong or weak
Check whether you edited a maximum, a rate or a multiplier. These categories produce different gameplay outcomes. Then compare all five stage values with your worksheet; a misplaced value can make only one life stage extreme. Finally, verify the server patch, because the 10/06/2026 reference is tied to patch 0.0.0.52021h1, not every release.

Separate handling for modded dinosaurs is mentioned in search summaries but is not verified by a source page. Do not assume that a base-game curve name will work for a mod. First establish the mod’s own identifier and whether its developer exposes server-side curves; if that information is unavailable, leave the override disabled rather than guessing.
Limits of the available documentation
The practical method is clear enough to test—edit the session configuration and supply five growth-stage values—but several boundaries remain important:
- No official CurveOverrides documentation was located, so syntax and curve names should be validated on a private or maintenance server before public use.
- Community guides disagree on exact directory naming, making an on-server folder check essential.
- The separate-file approach using
CurveOverrides.iniis described by one guide, not established as a universal requirement. - A restart is commonly reported but not confirmed by an official source summary.
- Mod-dinosaur behavior is not established.
- The official blog index contains patch and development posts, including a 28 October 2023 Pounce and Eurhinosaurus update, but it does not provide CurveOverrides instructions.
These limits do not prevent experimentation; they change how you deploy it. Keep changes small, preserve the original file, document the patch and test every affected growth stage before announcing a balance change to players.
