To change match commentary in EA SPORTS FC 27, open Game Settings > Audio, find Commentary Language in the audio section for your mode, and select a language. If FC 27 asks to download its commentary audio files, accept the download. Commentary language is a separate setting from the game’s menu language.
Change commentary language in FC 27
- Return to the main menu.
- Open Game Settings, then select the Audio tab.
- Find Commentary Language. FC 27 organizes audio options by mode, so check the relevant section, such as 11-A-Side Audio or Rush Audio.
- Choose the language you want. If prompted, select the option to download the commentary audio files and allow the download to finish.
EA Help says commentary is English by default. Changing the game’s broader language selection does not automatically select a different commentary language; choose commentary separately in Audio settings. EA Help’s commentary-language instructions provide the general settings path, while EA’s FC 27 accessibility resources show the mode-specific audio context.

When a separate download is required
EA’s FC 27 product information lists circumstances in which commentary files in languages beyond the platform’s specified defaults need a separate download. These are download conditions, not a guarantee that every language is available in every region or edition.

These platform-language conditions explain why one player may be prompted to download files while another already has the required commentary installed. They do not mean you must change your PC client or console language to change commentary: FC 27 has a separate in-game commentary setting. If the language is missing or the download fails
- Check the mode’s audio section. Look under the section for the mode you are playing, including 11-A-Side Audio or Rush Audio.
- Check for game updates. Update FC 27 and retry the download if the language is missing or its files report an error.
- On Nintendo Switch-family systems, check for an update if a pack fails. Nintendo Support reported an issue affecting commentary packs for languages other than English or French and advised installing the software update once available. The notice does not establish whether that update is currently available or has resolved the issue. Check the game for an update rather than assuming the fix is installed. If the language still does not appear, the official platform download conditions do not confirm that every language is offered in every region or edition. Use the options shown by your own game installation as the practical check.
