For a clear, verifiable listing slide, capture the relevant page or page section in Chrome DevTools, inspect the saved image, and record the source URL and capture date in your slide notes. A screenshot is only a snapshot: check changing details such as price and availability against an authorized current source, and confirm you have the right to reproduce the page’s photos, text, graphics, or data for the presentation’s intended audience.
Choose a capture that will work on a slide
Use a full-page capture when the listing’s overall structure matters. For a slide, a focused capture of the listing details, a single page element, or a few separate sections is often more legible than one very tall image. Chrome DevTools supports full-page, element, mobile-layout, and area captures; the exact interaction and menu wording can vary by browser version and operating system.

- Full page: Useful when the sequence of information matters, but a very long image may be too small to read in a slide.
- Page element: Useful for isolating a listing card, price-and-details block, or other specific component.
- Area: Useful when the relevant information spans parts of the page that do not match one element.
- Mobile layout: Useful if you need to show how the page appears at a mobile viewport; it captures a layout, not proof that the listing is current.
A browser screenshot preserves the page’s visible layout. If you instead print or export to PDF, the result may reflow differently; choose based on whether visual fidelity or a printable document matters more.

- Open and identify the source. Open the listing in a desktop Chrome window. Copy the page URL and note the capture date and time for the presentation notes or caption.
- Let the page settle. Wait for the page and its images to load. If images or content appear only as you scroll, scroll through the relevant page first, pause for them to load, then return to the section you intend to capture.
- Open DevTools. Use Chrome DevTools and its screenshot capture capability. For a full-page capture, open the DevTools command menu and choose the full-size screenshot command. Menu wording may differ in the installed version, so confirm the matching command in your browser.
- Choose the scope. For a whole-page image use the full-size capture. For a component, select the relevant node in the Elements panel and use the node capture option. For a particular region or mobile presentation, choose the corresponding area or mobile capture option.
- Inspect the saved image before adding it. Check that text and images are present and legible, the relevant source identity is visible, and banners or overlays have not obscured key information. If one long capture is difficult to read, make several focused captures.
- Add context to the presentation. Put the source URL, capture date, and any permission or listing-license note in slide notes or a caption. Verify volatile fields such as price and availability against an authorized current listing source before sending the presentation.

Fix common capture problems
Images or sections are missing
Some pages load images and content only when they approach the visible area. Scroll through the page, wait for the content to appear, and then capture again. Inspect the output rather than assuming a full-page capture triggered every lazy-loaded item.
Sticky headers or overlays cover content
A fixed header, cookie banner, chat bubble, or newsletter prompt can obscure details or recur in a long capture. Dismiss an overlay only if doing so is appropriate, and capture the relevant section again. Do not crop away a watermark or attribution to make the slide look cleaner.
A nested panel is cut off
Some listing pages place content in an internally scrolling panel. A page-level capture may show only the panel’s visible portion. Scroll within that panel to reveal the needed content, then capture the relevant portion or use focused captures.

The full-page image is unreadable in a slide
A tall page scaled to fit a slide can make small text illegible. Capture the key sections separately, or use a single focused element or region. Retain enough portal, broker, or listing identity to let viewers understand the source.
Mobile and desktop views differ
Responsive pages can rearrange or omit elements at different viewport sizes. Capture the viewport that matches the point you are making, and label it if the distinction matters. Do not present a mobile-layout screenshot as a different or more current listing.

Keep the screenshot accurate, attributable, and appropriate to share
A screenshot records what appeared in a browser at a moment in time; it does not verify the listing’s current facts or grant permission to reproduce its contents. Before distribution, check the source portal’s applicable terms and the rights or authorization for the listing. Listing photos, copy, graphics, and data may have different owners or restrictions. If permission is unclear, link to the source or use materials supplied and licensed by the broker or rights holder instead.
The Government of India’s Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and apps (GIGW) say that permission should be obtained before publishing third-party content protected by copyright and that sources of reproduced documents should be cited. That guidance applies to government websites and apps; it does not decide whether a particular private buyer meeting, client proposal, social post, or commercial brochure may reproduce a real-estate listing screenshot. For any of those uses, assess the relevant terms, permissions, and audience separately.

Keep the source URL and capture date with the slide, preserve visible attribution where practical, and verify changing facts through an authorized current source. Avoid including sensitive personal details; redact them only where appropriate and permitted.
