That is suitable for a GST portal page you are authorized to access if Urlbox can receive the page content. However, Urlbox’s public documentation does not establish that a URL-only request can access pages protected by a GST login. Do not assume it can use your logged-in browser session.
What Urlbox can render
Urlbox documents PDF rendering from either a URL or HTML input. Its PDF rendering guide says to set format to pdf. Use a URL only when the page is reachable by the rendering request; alternatively, provide HTML that you are authorized to submit and that contains the material you need.

Urlbox’s authenticated API requests use a project secret. Keep that secret on a server you control, not in browser-side JavaScript, a public page, or a shareable URL. Do not put GST passwords, one-time codes, or other login credentials into an unverified third-party rendering request.
Choose PDF pagination and page size
By default, Urlbox renders a site across multiple PDF pages. This is generally the more readable choice for long portal pages and records that need normal pagination. The pdf_page_range option can limit the output to selected pages. The pdf_page_size option lets you select a paper size; Urlbox lists A-series sizes and common formats including Letter and Legal in its render options reference.

Choose the print or screen stylesheet
Urlbox uses a page’s print stylesheet for PDF output by default. A print stylesheet may hide navigation, controls, or other elements, or rearrange the page compared with the regular browser view. If you want the regular screen styling instead, Urlbox documents media: "screen". Check which presentation preserves the fields and context your record needs before relying on the PDF.
Set readiness controls for changing pages
Some pages add content after the initial document loads. Urlbox’s render options include controls that affect when capture occurs:

Choose a readiness condition appropriate to the page, then inspect the resulting PDF to confirm the expected text, totals, and other visible content actually appear. Waiting longer may help with late-loading content, but it does not provide access to protected content or authenticate a session.

Workflow for an authorized page
- Establish access first. Confirm that the input you plan to give Urlbox is a page it can reach without relying on your interactive GST login, or prepare authorized HTML to submit. Do not treat a successful request for a login screen as a capture of the protected page.
- Set the PDF output. Configure the Urlbox request with
formatset topdfand supply the reachable URL or HTML input, following the request format in Urlbox’s PDF documentation. - Choose layout options. Use default multi-page output for a readable document; set
pdf_page_rangeif only certain pages are needed, orfull_page: trueif a single long sheet is specifically useful. Setpdf_page_sizeto the paper size you need. - Choose styling and readiness. Keep the default print stylesheet or set
media: "screen"; add a suitablewait_until,wait_for, ordelayif content loads dynamically. - Review the saved PDF. Verify that the page identity, relevant content, pagination, and legibility are satisfactory before sharing or retaining it.
Can Urlbox capture a GST page that requires login?
That is not established by Urlbox’s public PDF and options documentation. Those documents explain rendering a URL or HTML, but do not establish that a URL-only request can access a GST page behind authentication or inherit a user’s active browser session. Treat authenticated capture as unverified, not as a documented capability or a proven impossibility.

If the protected page is not available through an approved input method, use an official way to obtain or save the record, or ask GSTN for help. Do not send your GST credentials to a third-party workflow unless you have independently confirmed that the method is authorized and appropriate.
When the PDF is missing content or looks wrong
- The PDF shows a login page: The render request may not have access to the authenticated page. A longer wait does not solve an access boundary; use an authorized way to obtain the content.
- Text or figures are missing: Check whether they load after the initial page event. Try an appropriate
wait_until, await_forselector for content you expect, or adelay, then inspect the output again. - The layout differs from the browser: PDF uses print styling by default. Try
media: "screen"if the normal screen layout is the one you need. - The page is too small or awkward to print: Prefer normal multi-page output over
full_page: true, select a suitablepdf_page_size, and usepdf_page_rangeto limit pages when applicable. - The result is blank or incomplete: Confirm that the supplied URL or HTML is accessible to the rendering request and that the needed content is present at capture time. The documentation does not establish a GST-specific success rate or capture time.
Report a GST portal issue through GSTN
For problems working on the GST portal, GSTN’s Self Service Portal provides an official route to search for an issue and lodge a complaint. The Report Issue / Complaint page instructs users to search by issue keywords and review FAQs first; if those do not resolve the issue, a complaint can be lodged and a reference number used to check its status. GSTN says screenshots can help explain an issue.

A 2018 GSTN user manual hosted by CBIC describes PDF as an accepted complaint attachment format and refers to CAPTCHA in that support portal. It is historical support-portal documentation, not evidence of current GST login behavior or Urlbox compatibility: User Manual – Goods and Services Tax, Self Service Portal.
