To capture an infinite-scroll page as one image, first load the content you need by scrolling through the feed and waiting for new items to appear. Then take a full-page screenshot. A full-page setting captures the document that is available; it does not necessarily make a site fetch every item in an infinite feed.
Why a full-page screenshot may not capture an entire infinite feed
A viewport screenshot records only what is visible in the browser window. A full-page screenshot covers the page’s scrollable document, as if it were displayed on a very tall screen. Playwright describes it as a capture of the “full scrollable page.” (Playwright screenshots documentation.)

That is different from triggering an infinite-scroll loader. Many feeds fetch or append more content only after you scroll. If those items have not loaded into the page, a full-page capture may omit them. There is no universal way to tell every site to load every possible item, so inspect the page and the resulting screenshot rather than assuming it is complete.

- Open the page and identify its scrolling area. Try scrolling the main page. If it stays still while an inner feed moves, the content is in a nested scrollable element.
- Scroll through the material you need in manageable increments. After each movement, wait for new items to appear and finish loading before continuing. Repeat until the content you intend to include has loaded.
- Check the bottom of the loaded content. If scrolling there triggers more items, wait and continue. Stop when the items you need are present and no further content is required for your capture.
- Take a full-page screenshot and review it. Confirm that the expected content appears and that sticky controls or floating widgets have not obscured it.
This scroll-and-wait routine is practical guidance, not a guarantee: each site may load, paginate, or display content differently. Capture and share only material you are entitled to reproduce.

Capture the page with a browser or automation tool
Firefox: use its built-in full-page capture
- Open Firefox Developer Tools and select Settings.
- Under Available Toolbox Buttons, enable Take a screenshot of the entire page.
- Select the camera icon in the Developer Tools toolbar to take the screenshot. Firefox saves it to the browser’s Downloads directory.
Firefox also documents an Inspector context-menu command called Screenshot Node for capturing an individual element, such as one feed card, instead of the entire page. See Firefox’s screenshot documentation.
Chrome: use DevTools full-page capture
Chrome for Developers lists Capture a full-page screenshot among DevTools screenshot techniques. The available documentation confirms the capability but does not provide complete current menu steps. Labels and command placement can vary, so use the command available in your installed Chrome version rather than assuming that all Chromium-based browsers have identical menus. See Chrome DevTools screenshot documentation.

If the page itself does not move when you scroll, Chrome DevTools’ scroll badge can help identify scrollable elements on the page. Find the active inner scroller and use it to load the feed before taking the full-page capture. See Chrome’s scroll badge documentation.

const { chromium } = require('playwright');
(async () => {
const browser = await chromium.launch({ headless: true });
const page = await browser.newPage({ viewport: { width: 1440, height: 900 } });
await page.goto('https://example.com', { waitUntil: 'domcontentloaded' });
// For an infinite feed, scroll the relevant page or inner container and
// wait for its content to load before taking the final screenshot.
await page.screenshot({ path: 'screenshot.png', fullPage: true });
await browser.close();
})();
Replace https://example.com with a page you are permitted to capture. Run npm install playwright, npx playwright install chromium, then node screenshot.js. This example captures the currently available document; it does not implement a site-specific infinite-feed loader. Add scrolling, waits, and a check for newly appended items appropriate to the page you are automating. Playwright’s fullPage option captures the full scrollable page; its MCP screenshot tool also documents that full-page capture cannot be combined with a target selector. See Playwright screenshots and Playwright MCP documentation.
WebDriver BiDi: set the screenshot origin to the document
For protocol-level browser automation, MDN documents browsingContext.captureScreenshot. Its origin can be document to capture the entire scrollable document; viewport is the default. This is an automation API rather than a typical browser-menu workflow. Check support and implementation details in your specific browser automation stack. See MDN’s WebDriver BiDi screenshot reference.

Choose the method that fits the capture
| Method | Best suited to | What it captures | Infinite-feed work |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firefox built-in | One-off capture from the browser | Entire page or, with Screenshot Node, one element | Load the needed feed items before capture |
| Chrome DevTools | One-off capture in Chrome | Full page, with version-dependent command details | Load the needed feed items; identify an inner scroller if necessary |
| Playwright | Repeatable scripted captures | Full scrollable page, or a targeted element when not using full-page mode | Implement site-specific scrolling, waits, and a loaded-content check |
| WebDriver BiDi | Protocol-level automation | Viewport by default, or document when supported and configured | Implement the site-specific loading process separately |
Troubleshoot missing or awkward content
Only the items already visible or loaded appear
The screenshot captures the document as it exists; it may not trigger the site’s loader. Scroll through the feed, wait for additional items, and capture again. Browser documentation does not establish a universal completion test for infinite feeds.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The main page does not scroll
The feed may use a nested scroll area. In Chrome, use the DevTools scroll badge to locate scrollable elements, then scroll the correct container. If automating, your script must interact with that page-specific container rather than assuming the main document is the scroller.

The capture ends early or creates an unwieldy image
There is no common maximum image height established by the cited documentation, and behavior depends on the browser, automation stack, and page. If one very tall raster is impractical, capture sections separately or use the site’s export or print option when available. Label a PDF or other export accurately; it is not a screenshot.
Sticky controls or floating elements cover content
Review the output for repeated sticky headers, floating buttons, or overlays. The cited sources do not establish universal handling for these elements. If needed, capture a smaller region or use a page-specific workaround, and note if that changes the page layout.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot with one GET request. For infinite-scroll pages, first make sure the content you need has loaded; a screenshot API cannot be assumed to fetch every possible feed item. Its clean-shot workflow accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. It also offers an MCP server for AI agents, with take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools.
