To capture a website when a Shopify order arrives, connect an order trigger to a screenshot action. The most directly documented no-code route is Zapier: use Shopify’s New Order (Instant) trigger, then GetScreenshot’s Take Website Screenshot action, and pass its result to a destination step. You can also use Shopify Flow with an external screenshot endpoint, but the cited Flow documentation does not list a native screenshot action.
The available setup guidance describes general Shopify and Zapier behavior, not India-specific pricing, tax treatment, data residency, or regional availability. Confirm app availability and terms in your own accounts.

Choose the right order event
Decide what should count as “new” before building the workflow. In Shopify Flow, Order created runs when a customer places an order or when a draft order is marked paid and converted into an order. It supplies order data to the workflow. Shopify’s Order created trigger reference
Order creation does not necessarily mean payment has been completed. Shopify distinguishes the Order created trigger from Order transaction created, which runs when a transaction is created on an existing order. If your screenshot should only happen after a payment event, choose a trigger that matches that requirement rather than treating order creation as proof of payment. Option 1: Use Zapier with GetScreenshot
Zapier’s documented integration pairs Shopify with GetScreenshot. It can trigger on New Order (Instant) and then run Take Website Screenshot. The screenshot action accepts a website URL and offers capture settings including full-page capture and viewport width; its result can be passed to a subsequent Zap action. Zapier’s Shopify and GetScreenshot integration listing
Set up the Zap
- In Zapier, create a Zap and select Shopify as the trigger app. Choose New Order (Instant), then connect the relevant store.
- For the trigger requirements, make sure the Shopify store is active and that your Zapier account meets the paid-plan requirement for the Shopify app. Zapier’s Shopify setup requirements
- Add GetScreenshot as the action app and select Take Website Screenshot.
- Enter the website URL you want captured. Configure the available capture settings, such as full-page capture or viewport width, for the output you need.
- Add a following Zap action if you want the screenshot saved or sent somewhere. Choose and configure that destination separately; the integration listing does not prescribe a destination for this workflow.
- Test using a safe test order and a non-sensitive target URL before turning the Zap on. Verify that the trigger supplies the data you need and that the screenshot arrives at the selected destination.
Option 2: Use Shopify Flow with an external screenshot capability
Shopify Flow is a free app, and Shopify’s developer documentation says it is available to merchants on any paid Shopify plan. Flow workflows combine triggers, conditions, and actions; the documented action options include sending HTTP requests to external services. The cited references do not show a built-in screenshot action, so you still need an external screenshot service or endpoint to perform the capture. Flow outline
- Create a Flow workflow with the Order created trigger, or select an event more appropriate to your payment requirement.
- Add any conditions needed to limit which orders should cause a capture.
- Configure an HTTP request action or another connected-app action to send the required data to your external screenshot capability.
- Test the workflow with a storefront order, a paid draft order, or an existing order run as appropriate, and confirm that the endpoint receives usable data. Shopify recommends verifying the trigger definition and whether it provides sufficient data for the workflow. Shopify’s Order created trigger reference
The Flow references establish the trigger and the availability of external actions, not a particular endpoint configuration. You will need to determine how your chosen screenshot service accepts the target URL and what response or file destination your workflow should handle.

Check page access before relying on a capture
A screenshot step needs a target URL that the capture service can load. The documented GetScreenshot action asks for a website URL, and its listing mentions experimental login bypass; that does not establish that it can access a Shopify admin-only order page or any other authenticated page. Do not assume private-page capture will work without verifying the target’s access method and the service’s current capabilities. Avoid sending sensitive order information to an external capture service unless you have checked the service and your organization’s data-handling requirements.

How to choose between the workflows
| Approach | What is documented | What you still need to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify Flow plus an external screenshot endpoint or service | Flow is described as a free app; Order created supplies order data; Flow supports external actions, including HTTP requests. | No native Flow screenshot action or specific endpoint setup is established in the cited references. Configure and test the external capture step. |
| Zapier plus GetScreenshot | The integration listing documents Shopify’s New Order trigger, GetScreenshot’s Take Website Screenshot action, a URL input, capture settings, and passing the result to a later action. | Zapier’s Shopify app requires a paid Zapier plan and an active Shopify store. Confirm target-page access, destination, and account permissions. |
Base the choice on the trigger timing you need, whether the target page is accessible to the capture service, the capture settings, the destination for the image, and the subscription requirements. The available documentation does not support an India-specific price or latency comparison.

For a direct screenshot request, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL and returns an image or PDF. It removes known consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response indicates the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server offers screenshot tools for AI agents. The API call itself takes a URL; connecting it to an order event still requires an automation workflow or your own integration.

Quick Recap
Troubleshooting
- The workflow fires at the wrong time: Check whether you chose an order-creation event or a transaction event. Order created can include a customer order or a paid draft order converted into an order; it should not be treated as synonymous with payment confirmation.
- The screenshot step has no usable URL: Confirm that the action’s website URL field is populated and that the target is the intended page. The screenshot action requires a website URL.
- The image is missing from the expected place: Add and configure a destination action after the screenshot action, then test that the result is passed through. A capture action alone does not select a storage or delivery destination.
- A private page cannot be captured: The documented URL input does not prove authenticated-page access. Check the screenshot service’s current access options and test with a non-sensitive page before relying on a login-protected URL.
- The Zap cannot connect to Shopify: Verify that the store is active and the Zapier account meets the paid-plan requirement for Shopify.
- A Flow HTTP request does not capture anything: Flow’s HTTP request action is an integration mechanism, not a screenshot renderer. Check that the configured endpoint is a screenshot-capable service and that the request includes the URL and data it expects.
