For a few pages, save screenshots one at a time with Google’s Save to Google Drive Chrome extension. For a URL list, automate the work in two stages: use Playwright to capture each page as an image, then upload each image separately through the Google Drive API. Drive API batch requests cannot batch media uploads.
The documented steps below describe general Google and Playwright behavior; the cited sources do not establish India-specific differences in availability, pricing, quotas, or network performance.

For a few pages: save from Chrome
Google’s Save to Google Drive extension is a person-driven option when the pages are already open. Its listing describes saving web content or browser screenshots and choosing options such as an entire image, visible image, raw HTML, MHTML, or a Google Doc. It also says you must be signed in to Chrome with the Google account you want to use; to save to a different Drive account, switch Chrome profiles. The listing says chrome:// pages and Chrome Web Store pages cannot be captured. These are listing descriptions, not independently verified results.
The extension listing does not describe entering a URL list and automatically capturing every page. If the task involves many URLs, use an automated workflow rather than assuming the extension provides a bulk queue.

For many URLs: capture with Playwright and upload each file
Playwright provides the browser-capture building block, not a turnkey Google Drive bulk-upload workflow. Your script must load each reviewed URL, save an image, and then create a Drive file for that image. The following is the workflow shape; configure browser installation and Drive API authorization for your environment before running it.
1. Capture pages as image files
Playwright can save a screenshot to a file with page.screenshot({ path: 'screenshot.png' }). To include the scrollable page rather than only the visible viewport, use fullPage: true. It also supports returning an image buffer and taking an element-level screenshot. See Playwright’s screenshot documentation.

For a URL list, loop over the URLs and use a stable filename for each capture. For example, sanitize a hostname and add a sequence number or other unique identifier; do not rely on the URL alone, because different URLs can produce the same filename. Keep a record of the URL, capture filename, result, and any error so that failed pages can be retried selectively.

Use Google Drive API files.create with the image media and metadata. Give each file a descriptive name that includes its image extension, such as 001-example-com.png. Google’s reference for files.create says the method supports media upload and has a maximum file size of 5,120 GB; that is an API limit, not a practical target for screenshot files.

3. Select an upload mode by file size and connection reliability

These modes and size guidance are from Google’s Drive upload guide. A full-page capture can be larger than a viewport capture, so choose the upload mode based on the actual output file size.
4. Do not confuse API batching with bulk media upload
Drive API batch requests can group supported API calls, up to 100 calls per batch. They do not support media uploads or downloads. Google’s performance documentation states: “Google Drive doesn’t support batch operations for media, either for upload or download, or for exporting files.” See Drive API performance. You can loop over captures in your script, but each screenshot still needs its own media upload operation.

Handle the cases that break bulk runs
- Page load failures and timeouts: log the URL and failure, continue to the next page, and retry only the affected captures. Do not assume every site will load successfully.
- Login walls and consent dialogs: decide whether the workflow should use an authenticated browser context or capture the page as a visitor. Pages may show different content depending on login or consent state.
- Dynamic content: wait for the content you need before taking the screenshot; a page that technically loaded may not yet have finished rendering its important elements.
- Automation blocking: some sites may block automated browsing. Do not promise identical rendering or successful capture across all sites, and respect applicable site policies.
- Duplicate URLs and filename collisions: normalize or track inputs and create unique output names so captures do not overwrite one another.
- Interrupted uploads: use resumable uploads where the file is large or the connection is likely to drop, then record upload success separately from capture success.
Other extension listings are not necessarily bulk crawlers
A Chrome Web Store listing for SNOW Screenshot Extension describes visible-tab or full-page capture, preview, user-selected Drive folders, and configurable filenames, but its stated automatic workflow is for a ServiceNow timesheet submission—not a general URL-list crawler. Other third-party listings describe screenshot capture and Drive upload features. Treat such descriptions as vendor claims: check current availability, permissions, privacy policy, and actual behavior before relying on them.
Google’s separate Save to Drive button is for a website developer adding a button to save a file from that developer’s site to a visitor’s Drive. It is not a tool for capturing arbitrary external pages in bulk. Google notes that cross-origin resources require CORS support, multiple different buttons save sequentially, and leaving before completion discards the file.
