To capture the entire page—including content below the fold—use the browser’s DevTools command Capture a full size screenshot. These methods solve two different needs: a screen selection captures what is visible; DevTools can capture the full page.
Choose the right capture method

Capture the visible webpage with Snipping Tool
This is the quickest way to exclude the browser UI from a screenshot of the current screen. Windows 10 and Windows 11 support the Snipping Tool modes described by Microsoft Support.

- Open the webpage and scroll to the section you want. Set the browser zoom and page position before capturing.
- Press Windows+Shift+S to open the Snipping Tool capture overlay.
- Select rectangular snip mode if it is not already selected.
- Drag around the webpage content, stopping short of the tabs, address bar, and other browser controls.
- Open the capture from the notification or Snipping Tool window, then save it. Microsoft documents Ctrl+S as the save shortcut; the exact window behavior can vary with the Windows version.
Snipping Tool also offers window, full-screen, and freeform capture modes. A rectangular selection is usually best when you specifically want the website area and not the browser frame. A full-screen or window capture does not automatically identify and remove browser controls: it captures screen content according to the selected mode.
Capture the entire page with Edge or Chrome DevTools
Use this route when the image needs to include content that is not currently visible. Edge and Chrome document a full-size screenshot command in their device emulation tools: Microsoft Edge DevTools and Chrome DevTools.

- Open the page in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- Open DevTools. One way is to right-click the webpage and choose Inspect.
- Turn on Device Emulation (also called Device Mode). In DevTools, select the device toolbar toggle.
- Open the Device Toolbar’s More options menu.
- Choose Capture a full size screenshot.
The command captures webpage content beyond the viewport. Menu placement can change between browser versions, so look for the command in the Device Toolbar menu rather than relying on a fixed screen position. If you only need the visible viewport, choose a viewport screenshot command if available, or use Snipping Tool instead.
Hide more browser UI in Edge
For a visible-area capture, Edge’s full-screen mode can temporarily hide much of the browser interface. Press F11 to enter or leave full-screen mode; Microsoft lists this shortcut in its Edge accessibility documentation.

- Open the webpage and press F11.
- Press Windows+Shift+S and select the page area you want.
- Press F11 again to exit full-screen mode.
This still captures only what is visible on screen. Use DevTools’ full-size screenshot command if the image must include below-the-fold content.

When print preview is—and is not—the answer
In Edge, Ctrl+P opens print preview, where print settings can change how a page appears in a document. This can be useful if you need a printable result, but it produces print output, not a direct screenshot. Do not treat it as interchangeable with either a selected screen capture or a full-page image capture. See Microsoft’s Edge printing instructions.

The screenshot still contains tabs or the address bar
With Snipping Tool, redraw the rectangle around only the webpage area. Alternatively, use Edge full-screen mode before selecting the area. A standard full-screen or window capture does not automatically isolate website content.

The screenshot is missing the bottom of the page
A Snipping Tool selection captures the visible screen area, not the full document. Use DevTools’ Capture a full size screenshot command from Device Mode.
You cannot find the full-size command
Confirm that Device Emulation or Device Mode is enabled, then open the menu within the Device Toolbar and look for the exact command name. Browser menu placement can change between versions.
F11 does not produce the full page
F11 toggles Edge full-screen mode; it does not change the capture from viewport-sized to full-page. Use the DevTools method for content below the fold.
The capture opens, but you are unsure how to save it
Open the capture in Snipping Tool and use Ctrl+S to save. The exact notification and editing flow can vary by Windows version.
