To make a landscape PDF for a presentation, open the website’s print preview, choose a PDF destination, set the page orientation to Landscape, inspect the preview, and save. This creates a print-layout document, not a screenshot image. If you need the page’s visual appearance preserved instead, capture a full-page screenshot and put that image into a PDF separately.
Save a website as a landscape PDF
- Load the page. Open the website and wait for the content you need. If sections appear as you scroll, check that they are present in the print preview.
- Open print preview. In Chrome on desktop, select File > Print, or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac. In Firefox, open the menu and select Print…. Google’s Chrome instructions and Mozilla’s Firefox guide describe these routes.
- Select a PDF destination. In Firefox, choose Save to PDF. In Chrome, select a destination in the print window and adjust the available print settings.
- Set orientation to Landscape. In Firefox, choose Landscape under Orientation. In other print dialogs, look for the orientation setting; labels and locations can vary.
- Check the preview before saving. Look for cut-off columns, small text, awkward page breaks, and unwanted headers or footers. Adjust paper size, scale, and margins to improve the result. Enable print backgrounds if colored panels or background images matter. Firefox notes that background printing is unavailable when using Simplified format.
- Save and reopen the PDF. Check the actual saved pages in the context where you will present them.
Print rendering can differ from the page on screen, so preview inspection matters; no orientation or scale setting guarantees an exact visual match. Mozilla explains the screen-versus-paper difference.

Choose print-to-PDF or a full-page screenshot
These workflows produce different results. Print-to-PDF lays out a document across pages and gives you controls such as orientation and margins. A full-page screenshot captures the rendered page as an image; it does not directly create a conventional landscape PDF.

For Firefox, right-click an empty part of the page and choose Take Screenshot, or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux or Command+Shift+S on Mac. Select Save full page, then download or copy the image. Firefox Developer Tools also documents a full-page screenshot button and the console command :screenshot --fullpage. To deliver that capture as a PDF, place the image in a slide or document and export or print that file to PDF. This can retain the captured look, but text may be less convenient to select or search, and a tall image may be scaled rather than arranged as conventional landscape pages.
