For content below the visible screen, use Scroll capture if it is available. If you mean the website’s desktop layout, turn on the browser’s desktop-site option and refresh first: that changes the presentation the site is asked to show, not the tablet’s physical screen size.
How do I take a screenshot on my Samsung Galaxy tablet?
- Open the website in Chrome or Samsung Internet.
- Set the tablet’s orientation and browser view to the version you want to document. To request the desktop layout, enable Desktop site in Chrome or Desktop version in Samsung Internet, then refresh the page.
- Use the Galaxy Tab’s screenshot controls to capture the current screen. Samsung’s instructions note that available methods can vary by model and software version; saved screenshots can be found in Gallery. Samsung’s screenshot and screen-capture guidance.
- For a page that extends below the visible area, look for Scroll capture in the screenshot toolbar and tap it to extend the image. It works only in supported scrolling contexts and availability varies by device and software. Request the desktop website layout
Chrome for Android
For a single website, open Chrome’s More menu and choose Desktop site, then refresh the page. To manage defaults and site exceptions, go to More > Settings > Site settings > Desktop site. Chrome’s default view can choose based on screen size and device RAM, so use the per-site setting when you specifically need the desktop presentation. Google Chrome desktop-mode settings.

Samsung Internet
Open the browser’s More menu and choose Desktop version, then reload the page if needed. This requests PC content; it does not change the panel’s resolution. Samsung’s developer documentation includes example user-agent formats, but those examples are version-specific and should not be treated as the current user agent for every Galaxy Tab. It can mean the tablet’s physical display, the browser’s viewport and page layout, or the pixel dimensions of the saved screenshot file. These are related but not interchangeable. Desktop-site mode requests a different website presentation; it does not set a universal physical display or screenshot size.

There is no single pixel dimension that applies to all Samsung Galaxy Tabs. Model, orientation, display settings, browser controls and capture method affect the result. For accurate documentation, identify the specific Tab model and record the orientation and browser mode used. A real-device capture also differs from browser developer-tool emulation: a desktop user-agent or desktop-site request alone does not establish the rendered viewport or output image dimensions.
Capture only part of the page or add markup
If your compatible Tab supports an S Pen, Smart Select can select a region, while Screen write captures the current screen for annotation. These are optional tools; a standard screenshot does not require an S Pen. Check Samsung’s S Pen instructions for availability and steps for your device.

Troubleshooting
- Scroll capture is missing: The current screen may not support scrolling capture, or the option may differ by model or software version. Try a page with more content below the fold and check your Tab’s screenshot toolbar.
- The site still looks mobile after enabling desktop mode: Confirm the desktop option is enabled for that site and refresh. Some pages may still adapt their layout to the available viewport.
- The screenshot dimensions are not what you expected: Check the exact Tab model, orientation, display settings, browser chrome and screenshot method. Do not assume desktop mode sets a particular pixel size.
- You need a full-page image but scroll capture is unavailable: The built-in method may not support that screen. A screenshot API can capture web pages independently of the tablet’s screenshot toolbar; see the option below.
