Use a Coda row trigger in Make, then pass the row’s webpage URL to Make’s HTML/CSS to Image Create a Screenshot of a URL action. The available integration listing confirms those modules, but not the live field names or how the resulting image can be saved in Coda. Check those details in your connected Make modules before building the final storage step.
Set up the Coda table
Put each page address in a dedicated URL column. Decide whether you want Make to process only new rows or also rows whose URLs change; that choice determines which Coda trigger to use.

Build the Make scenario
- Add a Coda trigger. Choose Watch New Rows for newly added entries or Watch Updated Rows when edits should also trigger a capture. Make lists both triggers for its Coda integration.
- Add the screenshot action. Select HTML/CSS to Image’s Create a Screenshot of a URL action. Make describes this action as taking a screenshot of a website.
- Map the URL. In the live action configuration, map the URL column from the Coda trigger into the screenshot action’s URL input. The integration listing does not publish the exact input field name, so confirm it in your module rather than assuming a label.
- Inspect the output and choose a destination. Run a test and inspect the screenshot action’s actual output. Depending on the output it exposes and the field types available in your Coda table, you may be able to store a link or image reference, or you may need to save the result elsewhere. The listing does not establish output format, retrieval method, or Coda storage compatibility.
- Test before enabling the full workflow. Use a public page, verify that the expected page was captured, and confirm that the output can be retrieved and stored the way you intend. Then enable the scenario for the table.
Choose between the screenshot action and an external API
| Approach | Useful when | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| HTML/CSS to Image Create a Screenshot of a URL | You want to try Make’s listed URL screenshot action directly after a Coda row trigger. | Current input fields, page-rendering behavior, output format, retrieval, and whether the result fits your intended Coda destination. |
| Make HTTP calling an external screenshot API | You need a separate screenshot service or API in the workflow. | The API’s rendering capabilities, authentication, response format, storage path, quotas, and costs. Make’s HTTP integration lists Make a request, Download a file, and Resolve URL; an ordinary HTTP request does not by itself render a browser screenshot. |
Make describes Make a request as an action for calling an API, downloading a webpage, or triggering a webhook. Use a screenshot API endpoint for the rendering step, and use the HTTP modules according to the API’s documented request and response requirements.

- No scenario run: Confirm whether the trigger watches new rows or updates, and make a table change that matches that trigger.
- The action receives no URL: Check that the correct Coda URL-column value is mapped in the current module configuration and that the test row contains an address.
- A screenshot is returned but cannot be saved to Coda: Inspect the actual output type and available Coda column types. The integration listing does not confirm a direct image-to-cell workflow; choose a supported link, file, or other destination based on what the connected modules expose.
- The page does not look as expected: Test the target page and review the screenshot action’s available settings. The listing does not establish support for authenticated pages, dynamic content, or particular rendering options.
- Considering HTTP instead: Confirm the external service endpoint actually creates screenshots. Make’s HTTP actions can make requests or download files, but they are not browser-rendering actions on their own.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo can capture a URL with one GET request; its API documentation is at screenshotneo.com/docs/. For a Make scenario, call the API using Make’s HTTP request action and configure the response handling and destination to match the API response. For example, this cURL request saves a WebP response locally; adapt the target URL and use your API key:
