Its documented full-page feature captures a page, including content below the fold, as an image showing how the site looked at capture time. Save a webpage as a PDF in your browser
For an ordinary, readable document, print the webpage to a PDF from the browser. The exact menu labels and PDF destination vary by browser and operating system. [University of Utah IT PDF instructions]
- Open the webpage you want to save.
- Open the browser’s Print command—usually Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac.
- Choose Save as PDF or the operating system’s PDF destination in the printer or destination selector.
- Set the page range and print layout options you need, such as portrait or landscape, margins, and scale. Preview the result if the browser offers a print preview.
- Choose Save, select a destination and filename, and open the saved file to check the page breaks and content.
This route renders the page for printing rather than saving a single screenshot. It is usually the better choice when you want a document-like PDF, but content may paginate differently from the live page. Browser and system print options determine the available layout controls.
