URL2PNG documents screenshot output as PNG, not PDF. To make a PDF from a URL2PNG capture, request and save the PNG first, then convert that image to PDF with a separate tool. If you need the webpage rendered directly to PDF, use a URL-to-PDF service instead; that is a different workflow.
What URL2PNG can and cannot export
URL2PNG’s v6 quickstart shows requests to a PNG endpoint and examples that save the response as a PNG file. It documents no PDF output setting. Treat URL2PNG as the screenshot-generation step, not as a PDF exporter.

Capture the page with URL2PNG
Choose the capture dimensions
By default, URL2PNG captures the viewport. Its fullpage=true option asks it to attempt to capture the entire document canvas; it is not a guarantee that every long or dynamic page will fit cleanly. Set viewport to dimensions suited to the intended PDF page, then inspect the image for tiny text, clipping, or unexpected layout. The quickstart gives a default viewport of 1480×1037 and a maximum of 5000×5000.

Build and sign the request securely
The v6 quickstart describes an endpoint ending in /png/. A request includes an API key, the encoded target URL, and a token generated from the entire query string plus the secret. Follow URL2PNG’s signing instructions and language examples in its quickstart; do not expose the secret in browser-side JavaScript or other public client code. Save the response as a PNG, as in the documentation examples. The exact token depends on the complete query string, so construct and sign the final parameters on a trusted server.

Consult URL2PNG’s documentation for exact parameter syntax and signing requirements. These options affect the PNG capture; they do not turn it into a PDF.

- Open or import the saved PNG in an image-to-PDF application available in your operating system or workflow.
- Choose the page size, orientation, margins, and scaling in that application. These settings belong to the converter, not URL2PNG.
- Export or save as PDF.
- Open the resulting PDF and check that the text is legible and that the image is not clipped or distorted. If the screenshot is too tall or text too small, adjust the capture dimensions or choose a different conversion layout and repeat.
A PNG is a single image. Converting it to PDF places that image on a PDF page; it does not create selectable webpage text or automatically paginate a long page into readable document pages. For a long page, inspect the result carefully and decide whether a full-page image is actually the format you need.

When direct URL-to-PDF output is a better fit
If the requirement is to render a webpage URL directly as a PDF, rather than package a screenshot image in a PDF container, use a separate URL-to-PDF service. For example, HTML2IMG describes a screenshot endpoint that accepts a public URL with format: "pdf". That is a distinct service and capability; it is not a URL2PNG export mode. The available documentation does not establish a like-for-like independent comparison of output quality, price, or limits, so choose based on the required output and verify current service terms.
Other URL2PNG considerations
URL2PNG’s plans page describes month-to-month SaaS plans and says each fresh screenshot generated at a user’s request counts as a render. Pricing and plan availability can change, so check the live page for current terms rather than relying on old quotes.

Does URL2PNG have a documented PDF output option?
No. Its reviewed v6 quickstart documents PNG screenshot output, so PDF creation requires a separate conversion step or a different URL-to-PDF service.
