- Whether full-page capture includes the whole scrollable page, and how the service handles content that loads while scrolling.
- Available navigation waits, selector waits, or post-load delays for client-rendered content.
- Access to the target page, including any login or other access requirements.
- Whether the resulting PDF visually preserves Devanagari text on the actual page you need to save.
There is no controlled Marathi-page fidelity comparison in the available provider documentation, so a real output check is more useful than assuming one API renders Marathi better than another.

Capture the page as a PDF
- Choose a provider with documented PDF support. Read its current reference for the endpoint, authentication, PDF options, and full-page behavior. Do not copy Screenshot API’s request fields into another service’s request.
- Submit the publicly accessible page URL. Use the provider’s documented method and credentials. For Screenshot API, PDF-specific parameters require POST with a JSON body and
formatset topdf; consult its documentation for the complete request schema. - Wait for the meaningful content. Choose a documented navigation wait strategy, wait for a relevant selector, or add a post-load delay if the page fills in after its initial response. Client-rendered text, images, and below-the-fold content may take longer. Infinite-scroll pages and content that appears only after a long delay can require additional handling.
- Set document options deliberately. Choose full-page capture if the PDF should include the entire scrollable page. Set paper size, orientation, and margins where the API supports them. These options and their defaults differ by provider; ScreenshotEngine, for example, documents paper-size and orientation controls. Its documentation also notes that PDF output uses the page’s print styling and can look different from a screenshot.
- Open and inspect the returned PDF. Check the start and end of the document, page breaks, images, line wrapping, and Marathi text. Look especially for missing glyphs, broken conjuncts, and misplaced vowel marks.
Why Marathi text needs a visual check
Marathi uses Devanagari, whose letters and marks can depend on script shaping and suitable font glyphs. The Unicode Standard describes shaping and fallback behavior for Devanagari; if the available font lacks the needed glyphs, conjuncts may not display as intended. That is why selecting PDF output alone is not proof that the saved document is correct. Inspect the actual PDF at normal reading size and, if needed, compare a suspect passage with the page in a browser.
Do not assume a PDF is searchable text just because it contains visible writing. The provider’s PDF behavior determines what the output contains, and that must be verified separately if text search or copying is important.

Full-page capture and print layout are not the same thing
A provider’s full-page option generally concerns the scrollable webpage, while PDF rendering may use print styles defined by the site. The result can therefore differ from a screenshot: elements may be repositioned, backgrounds or navigation may change, and page breaks can split content. Check the provider’s documentation for how these modes interact, then inspect the finished file rather than relying on the request settings alone.
Full-page capture also does not necessarily trigger every form of lazy loading. A page that adds content only as the visitor scrolls, or that waits a long time before displaying a section, may need extra handling. Confirm that the final PDF contains the expected bottom-of-page content.
