Generate a PDF from a Hindi webpage
Install and configure Playwright for your BrowserCat account using BrowserCat’s quick-start guide. Then navigate to the target URL and call Playwright’s PDF method. Replace the example URL with the Hindi page you want to save.

BrowserCat’s Playwright cheatsheet documents PDF formats, landscape orientation, page ranges, headers and footers, and tagged output. Its documented default is Letter paper, with background printing off; specify the settings you need rather than relying on those defaults.
Wait for the page’s actual content
waitForLoadState() is a useful starting point, but it cannot guarantee that every site’s delayed content or web fonts are ready. If the page loads content asynchronously, wait for a relevant element or a suitable readiness condition before generating the PDF. The right condition depends on the website; there is no universal wait that guarantees every page is complete.

Check Hindi text and layout
BrowserCat’s reviewed documentation describes generic browser rendering and PDF output, not a Hindi-specific guarantee for font coverage or glyph shaping. Rendering depends on the fonts and assets the page loads. Open the generated PDF and inspect Hindi characters, line breaks, and page boundaries before relying on it.
Choose PDF or screenshot output
Use a PDF when you want a document suited to printing or sharing. Use a screenshot when you need a visual record as an image. In Playwright, page.screenshot() produces an image; it is not the PDF method.

For a screenshot, choose viewport capture for the visible browser area or full-page capture for a taller image. Use clipping when you only need a region. These are image-capture options; PDF pagination and image capture serve different purposes.

Troubleshooting
- The PDF is missing recent text or images: The page may load content asynchronously. Wait for the specific content or assets you need before calling
page.pdf(), then inspect the result. - Hindi characters look wrong: Check whether the page’s fonts and assets loaded and whether the PDF itself shows the problem. BrowserCat’s documentation does not promise Hindi-specific font rendering, so verify the output rather than assuming a particular font or shaping result.
- Background colors or images are absent: Set
printBackground: true; background printing is documented as off by default. - The page size or orientation is wrong: Set the PDF format explicitly, such as
A4, and use the documented landscape option if the content calls for it. - You received a PDF but wanted an image: Call
page.screenshot()and select viewport, full-page, or clipped capture as appropriate.
Browser and rendering scope
BrowserCat’s browser configuration documentation says its sessions currently run on Chromium-based browsers; Firefox and WebKit are described as roadmap items. The documented setup should therefore be understood as Chromium rendering, not a promise of identical output across browser engines.
