To keep prerecorded Telugu videos playing in a continuous YouTube Live feed, run a playlist through an encoder and send that feed to YouTube using a stream key. You can host the encoder on a computer you keep running or use a cloud service. YouTube receives the live feed; your encoder or hosting service is what advances through the video files.
How the playlist, stream and broadcast fit together
An encoder converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube. The playlist supplies the recordings; the encoder sends their audio and video to YouTube. In YouTube’s model, the broadcast is the event or video viewers watch, while the stream carries the audio-video feed and its streaming settings. A stream can be reused for recurring broadcasts, but a simple continuous playlist does not require API automation.

This setup is for prerecorded videos, not a live camera feed. Telugu is the content language; playlist and encoding behavior depends on the selected tool, so check the actual files and audio tracks rather than assuming every format or playlist behaves the same.

Set up a continuous playlist with an encoder
- Enable YouTube Live in advance. YouTube says first-time live streaming enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this until the planned start time. Follow the current prompts in YouTube Studio.
- Create or select the live stream in YouTube Studio. Open the live-stream setup and choose the stream you intend to use. Copy its server URL and stream key from the encoder connection details.
- Choose an encoder and configure the playlist. YouTube lists OBS Studio, an open-source encoder available at no charge. Configure the selected encoder or playlist tool to play the authorized Telugu video files in the desired order and to continue at file boundaries. The exact playlist controls and supported file formats depend on the tool; the official YouTube encoder instructions do not provide a Telugu-specific playlist script.
- Enter the connection details securely. Paste the server URL and stream key into the encoder’s YouTube streaming settings. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Preview before going live. Check that the video appears correctly, Telugu text or titles render as intended, audio is present and intelligible, and the playlist advances from one file to the next. Verify the actual files and tracks you plan to run, not just a sample from a different source.
- Start the feed and confirm the broadcast. Start streaming in the encoder, then check the YouTube Live control room preview and start or manage the broadcast there according to its current status. Keep the computer and network available for as long as you rely on a locally hosted encoder.
Choose local encoding or cloud hosting
With a self-hosted encoder, your computer runs the playlist and sends the feed. That gives you direct control of files and configuration, but the computer, encoder and network must remain available; plan how you will notice and recover from a stopped process or a failed file transition.
A hosted service can keep the playlist running without a dedicated computer at home, but check its supported formats, playlist behavior, storage, recovery process, access controls, cost and service terms before relying on it. YouTube’s encoder list includes Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. That listing is not an independent review or confirmation of its Telugu-file configuration, pricing or terms.

For either approach, confirm you have the rights to every video and audio asset before rebroadcasting it. The sources here do not establish a specific permission rule for individual works, so do not treat a successful technical setup as proof that a stream is authorized.

The YouTube Live Streaming API is for managing streams and broadcasts, not for playing a media playlist by itself. Its documentation distinguishes the broadcast viewers watch from the stream that carries the feed, and describes reusing a stream for recurring broadcasts. It also documents an advanced 24/7 arrangement in which one broadcast remains live while another is started and ended using the same stream. That lifecycle pattern is useful for event management, but it is not needed to loop one playlist continuously.

If you are building an API-based system, keep the responsibilities separate: your player or encoder must deliver the media feed, while your application manages the YouTube stream and broadcast lifecycle. See Understanding Broadcasts and Streams and the YouTube Live Streaming API reference.
Do you need HLS?
Not for a basic continuous playlist unless your encoder or delivery requirements call for it. YouTube’s HLS setup has specific requirements: transport-stream (TS) segments, segments between 1 and 4 seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than 5 outstanding segments. YouTube also says HLS has higher latency than RTMP. These protocol details matter when configuring an HLS encoder, not as a general requirement for every playlist stream. Plan for archives and interruptions
YouTube’s encoder help says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not count on that automatic archive rule for a continuous 24/7 stream that exceeds 12 hours. If you need a retained copy, plan an independent recording or another archive workflow and verify the resulting files.
Before leaving a feed unattended, check that the playlist advances across file boundaries and decide how you will detect a dropped connection, encoder exit or missing media file. Keep a secure copy of the stream key available for authorized recovery, not in public notes or shared playlists.

Troubleshoot common failures
- You cannot go live yet: live streaming may still be enabling for a first-time account. YouTube says enablement can take up to 24 hours; check the Studio status and allow time before the intended start.
- YouTube does not receive the feed: check that the encoder is using the server URL and stream key for the selected stream, that the key has not been mistyped or replaced, and that the encoder is actually sending.
- The stream starts but the playlist stops: inspect the playlist order and the tool’s file-transition behavior. Test every file boundary with the same media files and settings planned for continuous operation.
- Telugu text or audio is wrong: preview the actual video, titles and audio tracks in the encoder and YouTube preview. Correct the source files or tool settings before leaving the feed unattended.
- The feed drops: determine whether the local encoder stopped, the computer lost power, or the network connection failed. A local workflow needs an available computer and connection; hosted options have their own recovery behavior and terms, which should be checked with the provider.
- You expected one archive from a 24/7 stream: YouTube’s cited automatic-archive guidance applies to streams shorter than 12 hours, not a stream that runs beyond that threshold. Use a separate recording plan if a retained copy matters.
