On an iPhone, take a screenshot of the Safari page, open its preview, then tap Full Page. From the preview, save the capture as an image to Photos or as a PDF to Files. Apple documents this method for capturing webpage content beyond the screen.
Capture a full webpage in Safari on iPhone
- Open the webpage in Safari and wait for the content you need to appear.
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, press and quickly release the side button and volume-up button together. On an iPhone with a Home button, press and quickly release the side button and Home button together.
- Open the screenshot preview that appears, then select Full Page. This option appears after you take and open the screenshot; it is not a separate Safari menu command.
- Inspect the capture in the preview. Adjust the crop if needed.
- Choose where to save it: save as an image to Photos, or save as a PDF to Files.
Apple documents Full Page screenshots for content beyond the length of the iPhone screen, including an entire webpage in Safari. It does not guarantee that every site or page layout will render identically in a capture.

Choose an image or PDF
Use the image option when you need a picture in Photos; choose PDF when you want a document file in Files. Apple confirms these output choices but does not compare their file size, fidelity, or accessibility, so choose based on how you plan to use the saved capture.

If you want a PDF rather than a screenshot image, Apple also documents a Safari Share-to-Markup workflow. Open the webpage, tap More and Share (or Share, depending on the tab layout), choose Markup, then save the file. This creates a PDF through Markup; it is not the Full Page screenshot workflow.

What to do on a Mac
Apple’s documented Mac option for saving a webpage is different from the iPhone Full Page screenshot. In Safari on Mac, choose File > Save As, then select Web Archive or Page Source. A Web Archive saves graphics, and its links work as long as the destination webpages remain available. Page Source saves only the HTML source. Some webpages may prevent saving items that appear on the page.
Or skip the browser setup
For developer workflows, ScreenshotNeo captures a page through one API request. Cookie banners are accepted and removed before the shot, along with supported newsletter popups and chat widgets. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed; response headers report the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server gives AI agents tools to take screenshots, get page information, and capture PDFs. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
