One important caveat: Apple says canceled subscribers can’t play Arcade games, even downloaded ones, but its Arcade guidance does not clearly confirm that access continues until the end of an ordinary billing period. Check the expiration or renewal date shown in your subscription details, and don’t assume that date guarantees continued gameplay.
Cancel Apple Arcade on an iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Apple Arcade or, if Arcade is included in your bundle, Apple One.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to cancel.
- Return to the subscription details and check the expiration or renewal date shown there.
Apple’s Arcade guidance warns that after cancellation you can’t play Arcade games, including games downloaded to your device. It does not clearly state whether an ordinary Arcade cancellation leaves gameplay available until the displayed paid-through date. Treat the date in your account as the date Apple displays for your subscription, not as a guarantee that Arcade access will remain available through that day.

Cancel Apple Arcade on a Mac
- Open the App Store.
- Open the account area and choose the option to manage subscriptions.
- Select Apple Arcade or Apple One.
- Follow the prompts to cancel, then check the date shown in your subscription details.
Apple’s Mac instructions say to cancel at least one day before the renewal date. They do not establish that Arcade gameplay will continue through the remainder of a billing period after cancellation.

If Apple Arcade isn’t listed in Subscriptions
Check the Apple receipt for the charge to identify which Apple Account was billed. The subscription may belong to a family member’s account, or another provider may be handling billing. The account or provider responsible for the charge must cancel it; signing in to a different Apple Account will not manage that subscription.

If there’s no Cancel button
Apple says that when there is no Cancel button, or an expiration message is displayed in the subscription details, the subscription is already canceled. Use the displayed status and date to understand what Apple currently shows for the account.

Apple says canceled subscribers can’t play Apple Arcade games, even if those games were downloaded. Apple also says resubscribing can restore the ability to play and access gameplay data, while cautioning that some game data may not be supported if you wait too long. If you plan to return, the available information does not establish a universal time limit for preserving every game’s data.
