In Anime Zero, there is no source-supported best-in-slot setup for every player or mode; a strong build is one that fits your weapon, current progression, and the obstacle you are trying to overcome.
Start with a main weapon that fits your playstyle
Anime Zero is a Roblox dungeon-crawler RPG published by LY*. Its official Roblox experience listing describes exploration, fast-paced combat, and multiple game modes, and says the game is in active development. The listing also warns that bugs, performance problems, and incomplete features may occur.

Rather than spreading early upgrade materials across every weapon you acquire, pick one carry weapon and learn its reach, cooldown rhythm, and combat role in manageable encounters. A weapon you can use consistently is a better foundation than a drop chosen only because it is new. This is a practical beginner recommendation from an independent fan guide, not an official developer ranking.
Evaluate fit before investing
- Notice which attacks you use most and whether the weapon’s reach suits the way you approach enemies.
- Pay attention to its cooldown rhythm and whether it feels comfortable during ordinary dungeon clears.
- Use the weapon’s role to guide later choices: traits, skills, and accessory bonuses should support the same plan.
Build skills around the actions you use
Put skill upgrades toward attacks and actions that contribute to your regular clears. A skill that improves something you rarely use may be less helpful than one that strengthens your dependable routine. The beginner guidance does not establish a universal skill-point order or exact unlock levels, so treat this as a decision principle rather than a fixed build recipe.

When harder fights expose a specific weakness—such as trouble finishing enemies or surviving a particular encounter—reconsider the relevant investments. Change one important part at a time and assess it in the dungeon or mode where the problem occurs.
Choose traits to complement the weapon
Check whether a trait supports both your chosen weapon and the way you use it before spending scarce rerolls. Do not assume an online tier list or player consensus is a reliable fit for your weapon, content, or the current game version.

Anime Zero Wiki Editors reported changes in an October 5, 2026 traits guide describing an October 4 patch: rerolls are per weapon, filtered auto-reroll continues until it finds a selected trait, and players can select a Legendary or Mythic trait as a pity target. The guide also reports safety stops for Legendary or Mythic results. These are fan-wiki reports, not developer-confirmed details; check the live interface or official announcements before relying on them.
New traits and rankings are not settled guidance
The same guide says the October 4 patch added Razor Focus, Overkill, Sniper, and Deadeye, but that the developer had not published their exact effect values. It also describes Bloodlust and Supernova as having ranked ahead of Hunter in earlier player-reported consensus. That is not an official ranking and should not be treated as a universal recommendation.

Match accessories to the build you already have
Compare accessory bonuses with your weapon, trait, and skill choices instead of equipping an item simply because it is new. A bonus is valuable when it supports the plan you actually use; its usefulness may differ by stage, mode, or the weakness you are addressing.
The beginner guide recommends accessories that support the build, while the progression guide describes crafting them from act materials. Neither establishes a best accessory for every weapon or mode. Review the setup after a major upgrade and choose accessories for synergy rather than novelty.

Follow progression goals without treating them as a universal order
A progression guide updated October 3, 2026 recommends this sequence: roll weapons in the Arsenal, evolve a carry to unlock its ultimate, reroll weapon traits, roll enchants, craft accessories from act materials, and then pursue titles. It suggests using available codes and rolls early to get a usable weapon, taking a Power enchant for damage, and clearing Story content; later goals include evolving the carry, crafting damage accessories, and moving to harder difficulty.

This is fan-wiki advice, not an official optimal route. Use it as a set of possible goals, prioritizing the next upgrade that addresses your current obstacle before committing scarce resources elsewhere.

- Choose a carry: Pick a main weapon and learn its reach, cooldown rhythm, and role in manageable encounters.
- Check trait fit: Decide whether the trait helps that weapon and your play pattern before using rerolls.
- Invest in regular actions: Direct skill upgrades toward attacks and actions used in routine clears.
- Compare accessories: Select bonuses that complement the weapon, trait, and skills already in use.
- Test one change: Adjust one important part of the build and assess it in the relevant dungeon or mode, then review after a major upgrade.
What to know about current crit figures
Anime Zero Wiki Editors’ traits guide reports a default critical-damage baseline of 200% of base damage, caps of 60% critical chance, 275% critical damage, and 40% cooldown reduction, and skill-tree critical nodes granting 3%, 6%, 10%, and 15% per node. It also reports +2% critical chance for the Boss Slayer title, +8% critical damage for Boss Reaper, and +3% damage plus +11% critical chance for the Sunglasses accessory.
These are volatile mechanics figures reported by a fan wiki, not independently confirmed official values. Verify them in-game before using them to plan a build; the same guide says exact effects for the newly added traits were not published by the developer.
