Start with the page that contains the information you want. In Browse AI, use Table Studio when the data is already visible; use Robot Studio when the robot must click, type, scroll, fill in a form, or log in before it can reach the data. Then choose whether to capture a repeating list or specific text fields, set pagination to match the site, and inspect the first extraction before relying on it.
Choose Table Studio or Robot Studio
Browse AI calls the page where training begins the Origin URL. Start as close as possible to the target data: use the page that actually displays the listings or values, rather than a general home page, when you can.

Browse AI’s help guide recommends Table Studio for visible data and Robot Studio for interactive flows. The Chrome extension guide presents the extension as a fallback if those approaches cannot train the site.

- In the Browse AI dashboard, select Build New Robot.
- Enter the Origin URL for the page that shows the data and start training.
- Choose Table Studio.
- Review the proposed columns and sample rows. Add or remove columns so the table contains the fields your task needs.
- Save the robot. Browse AI says the first extraction runs after saving; inspect the resulting data before using it downstream.
Table Studio is the shorter path when the desired information is already on the page. If the initial URL is a search form or another screen that needs interaction, train with Robot Studio instead.

Build a robot for an interactive page
- Select Build New Robot in the dashboard, enter the Origin URL, start training, and choose Robot Studio.
- Record the actions needed to expose the target content, such as navigating, clicking a control, entering a search term, scrolling, or signing in where permitted.
- Choose the capture type: Capture Text → From a list for repeated records, or Just text for selected standalone values.
- For a list, select the repeating region, inspect or customize its fields, give the fields clear labels, choose the maximum number of items, and configure pagination if needed.
- For standalone fields, select each value and assign a descriptive label. A robot can combine list captures, text captures, and screenshots.
- Finish recording, name the robot descriptively, and review its output preview. Approve it only when the fields and sample values match your intended extraction; otherwise retrain or report an issue.
The preview is not the complete dataset. Treat the actual run as a separate validation step, particularly when the page has many records or changing content.
Choose the right capture and pagination settings
Repeated records or specific fields
- From a list: Use this for repeated records such as product listings, search results, or directory entries. Confirm that the selected region represents one record and that the captured fields correspond to the right values.
- Just text: Use this for a handful of specific data points that do not form a repeating record set. Label each field so exported values remain understandable.
Match pagination to the page

Set the maximum item count deliberately. A limit that is too low can truncate results; a limit that is unnecessarily high can extend a run without adding useful records. After a run, check whether it reached the expected end of the list.

Handle detail pages with workflows
Pagination through one repeated list is different from following each record to a distinct page type. For example, if you need a listing and then fields from each item’s detail page, Browse AI recommends using multiple robots connected in workflows. Design the list extraction and detail-page extraction as separate tasks, then check that the workflow passes the intended records between them.
Validate, run, schedule, and export
Check the extraction before depending on it
- Compare sample output with the page: confirm that each column contains the intended field and that records are not shifted or duplicated.
- Check the item count and whether pagination reached the intended stopping point.
- Confirm that the robot still reaches the same content after the page changes or a later run begins.
Training describes a supported workflow, not a guarantee that every site will train successfully or return complete data. A saved robot can be run again, scheduled to monitor changes, or used to export results.

Choose a delivery route
Browse AI describes data export, API access, and integrations or automations. Its product material names Google Sheets, Airtable, Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect, CSV, JSON, AWS S3, APIs, and webhooks. Choose a destination based on how the data will be used; for a one-off analysis, a file export may be enough, while recurring delivery may call for an API or automation.
Costs and usage limits
Browse AI’s plan explainer dated March 13, 2026 describes a Free plan with 50 monthly credits and paid tiers named Personal, Professional, and Premium. That figure is specific to the Free plan described on that date; plan allowances and paid prices can change. Check Browse AI’s live pricing information before estimating the cost of a larger or recurring extraction. The cited plan information does not establish current paid prices.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
The robot cannot find the intended data
Check that the Origin URL opens the page containing the target data. If the content appears only after an action, retrain in Robot Studio and record the steps needed to reach it. If neither Studio mode can train the site, the documented fallback is the Browse AI Chrome extension, which requires Chrome, an account, and the extension.
The output has missing or mismatched fields
Revisit the selected repeating region or individual text selections. In a list, inspect the field mapping against more than one sample record; for standalone values, ensure each selected item has a clear label. Retrain if the captured values do not match the intended fields.

The run stops before the list is complete
Check that the configured maximum item count is high enough and that pagination matches the site’s behavior. Use the next-button, load-more, or scroll option that corresponds to how the page reveals additional records, then verify the stopping point in a new run.
Only the first page type is extracted
If the task moves from a list to separate detail pages, a single list-pagination setup may not cover the second page type. Separate the extraction into multiple robots and connect them in a workflow.
The preview looks plausible but the delivered data is incomplete
Do not treat the training preview as the full dataset. Run the saved robot, inspect the actual result, and check record count and pagination. For repeated delivery, review subsequent runs rather than assuming the first output establishes ongoing completeness.
