To book Qantas First Class from Sydney to Dallas with points, search for a Classic Flight Reward while logged in to Qantas Frequent Flyer. Qantas’s table effective for bookings made from 5 August 2025 lists 249,400 Qantas Points one way in First for the applicable 9,601–15,000-mile band, before taxes, fees and carrier charges. Reward seats are limited, and a Dallas listing on Qantas’s A380 network does not guarantee that your chosen Sydney–Dallas flight will use an A380.
How do I search for a Qantas First Class reward to Dallas?
- Log in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and search for Sydney to Dallas with the Rewards view selected. Qantas says Classic Flight Rewards can be booked up to 353 days ahead; online international bookings can be made up to four hours before departure under its published rules. See Qantas Classic Flight Reward rules.
- Check the results for First and look for the red Reward ribbon, which identifies a Classic Flight Reward. Distinguish it from Classic Plus: Classic awards use a fixed table price when available, while Classic Plus points prices fluctuate with airfare levels.
- Try a range of dates and departure times if no First reward appears. Qantas describes Classic reward availability as limited and recommends flexibility.
- Before booking, confirm that the result is the intended nonstop itinerary, then verify its cabin and aircraft for your travel date.
- Review the final points and cash total on the booking screen before redeeming or transferring points. Availability and the quote can change; use the live itinerary total for your decision.
How many Qantas Points is Sydney–Dallas First Class?

Does Qantas fly an A380 from Sydney to Dallas?
Qantas lists Dallas among its A380 ports, but that establishes network inclusion, not the aircraft assignment for every Sydney–Dallas departure. Check the selected flight’s aircraft and First cabin for your date before committing points. See Qantas’s A380 factsheet.

What if no First reward seat is available?
One separate option is to buy an eligible, confirmed Business ticket on a Qantas-operated flight with a QF flight number and request a Classic Upgrade Reward to First. Qantas’s international upgrade-to-First table varies by distance zone and paid Business fare type, and an upgrade request does not guarantee a First seat.
