If you want ads to load but still want Vivaldi to block trackers on that site, choose Block Trackers instead.
Choose the right blocking level for the site
Vivaldi offers three levels for a site. The difference is whether ad blocking and tracker blocking remain active:

| No Blocking | Allows ads and turns off Vivaldi’s tracker and ad blocking. |
| Block Trackers | Allows ads while continuing to block requests to known tracker URLs. |
| Block Trackers and Ads | Keeps both tracker and ad blocking enabled. |
Vivaldi describes ad blocking as an additional layer beyond tracker blocking: it blocks ads that the tracker blocker has not already blocked. If your goal is specifically to see ads while retaining tracker protection, use Block Trackers; use No Blocking when you want neither type of blocking on that site. Change the setting for the website you have open
- Open the website in the active Vivaldi tab.
- Tap the Content Blocker control on the left side of the address bar. Vivaldi also refers to this as the Site Info and Content Blocker control.
- Select No Blocking to allow ads and disable tracker blocking for that site, or select Block Trackers to allow ads while keeping tracker blocking on.
The change applies to the selected site, so you do not need to change the default blocking level for every website.

Add or edit a site exception in Settings
Use the exceptions list when you want to enter a domain directly or manage a site you have already added:
- Open the Vivaldi menu and go to Settings > Tracker and Ad Blocking > Exceptions > Manage blocking level per site.
- Tap Add New Domain, enter the website link, and choose the desired level. Choose No Blocking to allow ads without tracker blocking, or Block Trackers to allow ads while retaining tracker blocking.
- Tap Done.
To change an exception later, tap the site in the list, select a different level, and tap Done. To remove the exception, tap the site and choose Delete. You can also return the site to the default blocking level so the special setting no longer applies. See Vivaldi’s Android Settings help for its settings and site-exception management guidance.

Find the control or troubleshoot a site
The address-bar control is missing or hard to spot
The Content Blocker control is associated with Site Info at the left of the address bar. Its position or icon may differ with your toolbar layout, and Vivaldi says the address-bar shortcut can be customized. Check your toolbar settings or use Settings search to locate the relevant blocking options. Vivaldi’s address-bar customization guidance covers the shortcut.
The site still looks broken
Some sites rely on elements that tracker or ad-blocking lists block. For a site that does not display or work correctly, change its level with the Content Blocker; temporarily disabling blocking for that site is a documented troubleshooting step. If the problem continues with No Blocking, the blocker may not be the cause.

Do not confuse blocker settings with the ads permission
Android Site Settings includes a permission called Intrusive or misleading ads. That permission is separate from Vivaldi’s built-in Tracker and Ad Blocker levels. To allow ads blocked by Vivaldi’s built-in blocker, use the Content Blocker control or the exceptions list. Vivaldi’s Site Settings help describes the separate site permission.
