To allow ads on one website in Safari on a Mac, open Safari > Settings > Websites > Content Blockers and set that site to Off. On iPhone or iPad, check whether a Safari extension is blocking content: you can disable it for one site from Safari’s Page menu > Manage Extensions. Pop-up windows have a separate setting.
Allow ads on one website in Safari on Mac
- Open the website in Safari.
- Choose Safari > Settings, then select Websites.
- Select Content Blockers in the sidebar.
- Find the website and change its setting to Off.
- Reload the page if the change does not take effect immediately.
Apple defines Off as “Don’t block ads and other unwanted content on the site.” This is an exception for the selected website, not a change to content blocking on every site. Check Safari extensions on iPhone or iPad
On iPhone or iPad, an extension may be responsible for blocking ads. Apple’s iOS 26 extension guide describes these controls; labels can vary with the software version.

- Open Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions.
- Tap the extension that may be affecting the site. Turn off Allow Extension to disable it generally.
- To change it for one site instead, return to that site in Safari, tap the Page menu > Manage Extensions, and switch off the relevant extension.
- If you use Safari profiles, check the extension setting for the profile currently in use.
Disabling Allow Extension affects the extension generally; use Manage Extensions when you want to make a site-specific adjustment. Review an extension before changing its access: extensions can affect browser behavior. Apple’s iPhone guide to Safari extensions explains how to manage them.

Allow pop-ups separately
Allowing ordinary ads does not necessarily allow a site to open a pop-up window or tab. Change the pop-up control only if that is what the site needs.
- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings > Apps > Safari and switch Block Pop-ups on or off.
- Mac: Choose Safari > Settings > Websites > Pop-up Windows and select the setting for the site.
Apple provides separate instructions for blocking pop-up ads and windows on iPhone, iPad, and Mac and allowing or blocking pop-ups on Mac.

If the website still does not work
- Confirm that you changed the control affecting the problem: Content Blockers for blocked page content on Mac, an extension setting if an extension is involved, or Pop-up Windows for new windows or tabs.
- Reload the site after changing a setting. If the issue remains, check Safari extensions; Apple lists turning off content blockers and checking extensions among possible troubleshooting steps for Mac Safari. See Apple’s Safari troubleshooting guidance.
- Prefer a per-site exception when only one website needs the change, rather than disabling a blocker more broadly.
Stay safe around suspicious ads and pop-ups
A pop-up that imitates a trusted security warning or pressures you to download software may be phishing. Don’t click alarming prompts or install software offered by an unexpected ad or alert. Apple identifies the App Store as the safest place to get apps and extensions.
