For a default Arma 3 installation, the game port is UDP 2302 and the Steam query port is UDP 2303. If GameTracker reports a wrong query port or a firewall, correct the port or network rule and run the scan again.

What you need before adding the server
GameTracker can only register a server that it can scan. Start the Arma 3 dedicated server (or make sure the host is running), and keep it online while you submit and verify the listing. You will need the server’s public IP address or resolvable hostname, the port players use to join, and the separate query port used to identify the server.

- Public address: Use the internet-facing address, not a private address such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x. If the machine is behind a router, the router’s public address is the one an external scanner must reach.
- Join port: This is the Arma 3 game port entered in the server’s configuration and used by players when they connect.
- Query port: This is the Steam server-query endpoint. GameTracker uses it to read the server name, player count and other listing data.
- Network access: The host firewall and any upstream router or cloud firewall must allow the relevant UDP traffic to the machine running Arma 3.
- Account: If the current Add Server form asks you to register or sign in, complete that step first. The requirement has changed over time, so use the live form’s current instructions rather than assuming an anonymous submission is accepted.
Do not stop the server immediately after submitting. The first scan and the follow-up listing check both depend on the service remaining reachable.
Arma 3’s default port layout
Bohemia Interactive’s server-port documentation maps the default Arma 3 ports as offsets from the game port. With the default -port=2302, the values are:

The offsets move together when you change the game port with -port=. For example, if a server uses 2402 as its game port, the corresponding query port is normally 2403, master traffic is 2404, the allocated VON port is 2405 and BattlEye is 2406. Confirm the actual values in the running server’s configuration before submitting; a custom launch setup, wrapper or hosting control panel can change the base port.
Some third-party guides label these ports differently. For this task, use the Bohemia Interactive mapping: query is base port plus one, not 2305 and not a generic Steam port such as 27015.

How to add the server in GameTracker
1. Start and identify the live server
Launch the Arma 3 server and wait until it has finished loading its mission or is otherwise visible to players. Record the public IP address and the exact base port from the launch parameters. If you run several instances on one machine, record each instance separately; never assume every instance still uses 2302.
2. Check the query-port calculation
For the default layout, write down 2302 for the game port and 2303 for the query port. For a custom base port, add one to that base value. Keep the two values in separate notes so they are not accidentally swapped when you fill out the form.

3. Open GameTracker’s Add Server page
Use the current GameTracker interface and choose the option to add a server. Select Arma 3 as the game or server type. Labels and navigation can change, so follow the page’s current wording instead of an old screenshot.
4. Sign in if prompted
If the form requires a registered account, sign in or create one and return to Add Server. A search-summary report indicates that registration may be required, but that requirement was not independently confirmed on the live page; the form itself is authoritative.
5. Enter the address and ports
Fill in the fields requested by the form. The expected information is:
- Game/server type: Arma 3.
- Server name: the name players should see. Match the name configured on the server so you can recognize the result.
- IP address or host: the public address reachable from outside your network.
- Join/game port: 2302 for an unmodified default server, or your configured base port.
- Query port: 2303 for the default server, or the configured base port plus one.
If the form asks for only one port initially, continue until the scan or advanced fields expose a separate query-port field. Do not enter the BattlEye, master-traffic or VON offset in place of the query value.

6. Run the scan
Submit the form or select its scan/check action. GameTracker must contact the server before it can create a populated listing. Keep the process on screen long enough to receive a result; a timeout is not proof that the server is permanently unavailable.
7. Correct errors and scan again
If the result says the query port is wrong, edit the query value and scan again. For a server whose base port is 2302, the first correction to test is 2303. If the result says the server is firewalled, fix the host or router rule, then repeat the scan. One failed attempt does not prevent a later successful add after the network path is corrected.

8. Confirm the listing
After a successful scan, open GameTracker’s Arma 3 server list and locate the new entry. Check that the displayed name, address, player count and online state correspond to the running instance. If the entry is missing or shows stale information, leave the server running and use the listing’s refresh or rescan option before changing ports at random.
Making the ports reachable
Host firewall
Allow inbound UDP traffic for the Arma 3 game port and the query port on the machine hosting the server. With the default layout, that means at least UDP 2302 and UDP 2303. A server can be joinable for local players while still blocking an external scanner, so test from a network outside the host’s LAN whenever possible.

Router or NAT forwarding
If the server is behind a home or office router, forward the required UDP ports from the public interface to the host’s private address. Give the host a stable DHCP reservation or static private address; otherwise a reboot can send the forwarding rule to the wrong machine. Forward the custom base and query ports when you use a non-default -port= value.
Cloud or provider firewalls
A virtual server can have more than one filter: the operating-system firewall, a provider security group and possibly a control-panel rule. Permit the same UDP ports at every layer. If GameTracker provides a current list of scanner addresses, apply that list only where your security policy requires source filtering; do not rely on an old forum-posted list.

Each instance needs a distinct base port and its own offset range. If one instance uses 2302/2303, a second might use another base such as 2402/2403, provided the launch configuration and forwarding rules match. Add each instance to GameTracker with its own public endpoint and query port. Running Arma 2 and Arma 3 on the same machine also requires editing ports to avoid collisions.

Common port mistakes to avoid
Entering the game port twice
The join port and query port are separate fields. Entering 2302 in both fields tells GameTracker to query the game endpoint rather than the Steam query endpoint, which commonly produces a wrong-port error.
Copying an incompatible third-party chart
Port charts on hosting or forum sites can use different labels. In particular, one published chart calls 2305 the Steam port, while Bohemia Interactive’s mapping identifies 2305 as the allocated VON offset and 2303 as Steam query. Use the base-plus-one rule from the Bohemia Interactive documentation for Arma 3.
Using a private IP address
An address beginning with 10., 172.16–172.31 or 192.168. is normally private. GameTracker’s scanner is outside your LAN and cannot use that address. Submit the public address and forward traffic to the private host.
Assuming Teamspeak changes Arma’s query port
A separate voice application does not replace Arma 3’s Steam query endpoint. Keep the Arma port offsets tied to the Arma server’s configured base port; configure other applications on their own non-conflicting ports.
Self-hosted and rented servers: what changes

The GameTracker procedure is the same in either case: submit the public endpoint and the actual query port, not a remembered default that differs from the running configuration.

Keeping the listing accurate
- Keep the server online during the initial scan and whenever you expect GameTracker to update its status.
- When changing
-port=, update the host firewall, router or security-group rules and the GameTracker query value together. - After migrating hosts, verify the new public IP before creating a second listing; otherwise an old entry can remain while the new one is never detected.
- For a temporary shutdown, expect the listing to show offline until the service returns and the next scan succeeds.
Final pre-submit checklist
- The Arma 3 server is running and finished starting.
- You have the correct public IP or hostname.
- You know the configured base game port.
- The query port is base + 1 (2303 when the game port is 2302).
- Inbound UDP access and NAT forwarding cover both ports.
- You selected Arma 3 in GameTracker’s Add Server form.
- You entered the game and query ports in their respective fields.
- You rescanned after correcting any wrong-port or firewall result.
- You checked the resulting entry in GameTracker’s Arma 3 server list.
