In Apple Notes, place the insertion point where you want the separator, then use Insert Divider Line. On iPhone, find it in the expanded editing controls; on Mac, choose Edit > Insert Divider Line or press Command-L.
Add a divider line on iPhone
- Open Notes and create a note or open an existing one.
- Tap where the divider should appear to place the insertion point.
- Tap Expand in the editing controls.
- Choose Insert Divider Line.
Apple documents this sequence in its iPhone Notes guide. Use Expand for this command; the documented route does not use the Format button.
