1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIn Make, connect the Create a Screenshot of a URL action from HTML/CSS to Image to Trello’s Add an Attachment action. If the scenario needs to create the card too, place Trello’s Create a Card action before the attachment step, then use the new card’s identifier. The exact screenshot-output and attachment-input field names are not established in the published module documentation, so map them using the fields shown in your live Make editor rather than guessing.
Choose whether to create a card or use an existing one
The screenshot step is the same in either workflow. What changes is how Make gets the destination card for the attachment.

| Workflow | When to use it | How to identify the card |
|---|---|---|
| Create a new card | The automation should create a Trello card for each incoming website URL. | Add Trello’s Create a Card action before Add an Attachment and use the identifier returned by the create step, if exposed in the attachment module. |
| Attach to an existing card | The destination card already exists. | Select or provide the target card using the identifier format accepted by the live attachment module. Make’s Trello documentation says some card operations require a card ID or shortlink. |
Build the Make scenario
- Add a trigger. Choose a trigger that provides the website URL, or use a manually supplied URL for an on-demand scenario. The cited Make documentation does not prescribe a particular trigger.
- Add the screenshot action. Add HTML/CSS to Image’s Create a Screenshot of a URL action and enter or map the website URL. Make describes this action as taking a screenshot of a website.
- Add the Trello attachment action. Add Trello’s Add an Attachment action and choose the target card. In the attachment module’s inputs, inspect what kind of file or image reference it accepts.
- Map the screenshot result. Inspect the screenshot action’s output bundle in the editor, then map the returned image or image URL to the corresponding attachment input shown by the Trello module. The documentation confirms both actions exist, but does not specify their exact field names or guarantee a particular output-to-input mapping.
- If needed, create the card first. Add Trello’s Create a Card action before Add an Attachment. Map the new card identifier from the create step into the attachment action if the editor exposes a compatible value.
- Test the scenario. Run it with a URL and inspect the destination card to verify that the intended screenshot was attached. If the attachment is missing, review the output bundle, required attachment inputs, and card identifier in the current module configuration.
Find the right Trello card identifier
For some Trello operations, Make’s Trello documentation says a card ID or shortlink is required. It describes obtaining card identifiers from the output of a New Card trigger. To locate a card shortlink manually, open the Trello card, select Share, and find the shortlink after https://trello.com/c/ in the card URL. Check which identifier format the current Add an Attachment module expects; do not assume that every card-related module accepts the same value.
Troubleshoot common failures
- No screenshot appears in the card: Inspect the screenshot module’s output bundle and confirm that a returned image or URL is mapped to the attachment input the live editor provides.
- The attachment action cannot find the card: Confirm that the selected card is the intended destination and that the value comes from the correct card or creation step. Where required, use the ID or shortlink format the module accepts.
- The scenario runs but attaches the wrong result: Check that the screenshot action receives the intended website URL and that the attachment mapping points to that action’s output, not another step’s data.
- You cannot find an expected field: The exact screenshot and attachment field names are not specified in the published documentation cited here. Inspect the current module inputs and output bundle in Make instead of relying on guessed labels.
