To add a payment method to a PlayStation account using the UAE Store, use Account Management on the web or the payment settings on your console or in the PlayStation App. Eligibility depends on the account’s Store country or region and matching billing details—not simply on the AED currency display.
Which payment methods does the UAE PlayStation Store accept?
PlayStation lists American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat and Apple Pay for the UAE Store. Availability can differ by Store region, so use the list for the account’s region rather than assuming that a method accepted elsewhere will work. See PlayStation’s UAE accepted-payment methods.

The UAE Store allows up to three saved credit or debit cards, one payment service and one mobile-payment method per account. A payment method used while shopping on the Store is saved to the account.
Add a credit or debit card
Choose the instructions for the device you are using. PlayStation’s UAE card instructions are available on its card payment guide.

On the web
- Sign in to Account Management.
- Select Payment Method, then Add Payment Method > Add a Credit/Debit Card.
- Enter the card details and select Next.
- Enter the billing address and save.
On PS5
- Open Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Payment Methods.
- Choose the card option, enter the card and billing details, then save.
On PS4
- Open PlayStation Store and scroll to the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Payment Methods, add the card, and save its billing address.
In the PlayStation App
- Open the Store and tap the menu icon.
- Select Payment Methods and add the card.
Add PayPal or use mobile billing
PayPal
PayPal can be linked through Account Management or the Store’s payment-method menu. PlayStation’s UAE guide includes the UAE among supported regions; follow the prompts to link the account. See PlayStation’s PayPal instructions.
Du or Etisalat
The UAE Store lists Du and Etisalat for mobile payment. At checkout, choose mobile payment and follow the on-screen carrier instructions. The mobile-payment guide also explains adding wallet funds through Payment Management or console wallet settings: PlayStation’s mobile-payment instructions.

If your card will not save
- Check region alignment. A card registered to an address in a different country from the PlayStation Store region may not link. Confirm that the account uses the UAE Store and that the card’s registered country aligns with it.
- Check the details and online payments. Make sure the billing information matches the issuer’s records and that online payments are enabled for the card.
- Stop repeated retries if you see an update limit. If PlayStation says payment details were updated too often, wait 24 hours before trying again. Another attempt during that period restarts the block. See PlayStation’s card troubleshooting guidance.
- Try another accepted method or add wallet funds. If the card is unsupported, use another UAE-listed option or top up the wallet with a registered payment method or PlayStation gift card.
Use a wallet top-up as a fallback
PlayStation says the UAE wallet can be topped up with a registered payment method or PlayStation gift cards. Before buying a prepaid code, check its region: Sony’s March 2026 Terms of Service and User Agreement say wallet prepaid cards must use the currency of the country designated for the account. A child account cannot add payment methods or wallet funds itself; it can use the family manager’s wallet, subject to the monthly spending limit set for that child account.
