Usually, you cannot sign in to a Samsung account with only your password when two-step verification is enabled. You must complete an accepted second check. If your usual code is unavailable, try another method already linked to your account—such as a Galaxy device that is signed in, a saved backup code, or a previously configured authenticator app. Samsung Philippines says two-step verification cannot be disabled, so recovery means proving your identity another way, not bypassing the check.
Which recovery method should you try?
Start with the option you can access now. The methods available at sign-in depend on your account, device, and region; Samsung does not establish that every option appears for every user.

Use a Galaxy device that is already signed in
- At the verification step, select the option to verify with a Galaxy device if it is shown.
- Check the Galaxy phone or tablet already signed in to the same account and approve the sign-in request.
This route is useful when the device remains accessible even though you cannot receive a text message. Samsung’s support guidance describes verification through a signed-in Galaxy device, but the option may vary by account or region. Samsung US troubleshooting
Use a backup code
- At the verification prompt, select the backup-code option if it appears.
- Enter one of the codes you saved when setting up two-step verification.
- After you regain access, save the current backup codes somewhere secure.
Backup codes are single-use. If you are still signed in on another Galaxy device but cannot find your saved codes, Samsung says you can retrieve them there. Samsung US backup-code help

Use an authenticator app if you set one up earlier
An authenticator app is a fallback only if it was connected to your Samsung account before you lost access to your usual verification method. Samsung US lists authenticator apps among the account’s two-step verification options. If you did not configure one in advance, you cannot use this route to create a new verification method while locked out. Samsung US account-security guidance

- Wait for the request to be processed. Samsung US says the process may take two weeks for security reasons.
Submitting another number-change request resets the two-week timeline. That wait is the period documented by Samsung US; the available guidance does not establish the same timeline for other regions. Why you cannot simply skip two-step verification
Samsung Philippines states that two-step verification cannot be disabled, citing account security and privacy. That statement is specific to its guidance; support pages can use different wording and menus across regions. The practical distinction is that another approved method is an alternative verification step—not a password-only bypass. Samsung Philippines two-step verification
