As of Streamlabs’ latest located support notice, Skrill is still described as paused as a Streamlabs tip payment method. Streamlabs announced the pause effective March 6, 2023, and its notice, last updated September 5, 2025, gives no restoration date. Check your Streamlabs dashboard or contact Streamlabs support to confirm whether Skrill is available for your account; don’t rely on an older connection guide as proof that you can receive new Skrill tips today.
If you need to accept tips now, check whether PayPal or the card option is available to you. Both depend on your account and location.

Is Skrill still supported on Streamlabs?
Streamlabs’ support notice, attributed to Kevin and last updated September 5, 2025, says: “On Mar 6, 2023, we will be pausing support for Skrill and Paysafecard as tip payment methods while Skrill works to resolve some technical issues.” The notice explains that creators would not receive new Skrill tips after March 6, 2023, though tips sent before then could still be withdrawn. That is the latest located status, not confirmation of what appears in every creator’s account today. Check your own dashboard or ask Streamlabs support whether Skrill has been restored for your account and region. If Skrill does not appear as a connectable method, use an available alternative rather than assuming an older setup page will activate it.

Why older Skrill instructions may mislead
Streamlabs’ Skrill help article was published August 31, 2016 and last updated April 25, 2025. It describes creating a Skrill account, connecting it to Streamlabs, and withdrawing a Skrill balance through the Withdraw button under Skrill in Tip Settings. Those instructions are historical guidance; the separate pause notice is the relevant warning for accepting new tips. See Streamlabs’ Skrill help article.
The same older article listed fees, clearance periods, and withdrawal details for particular payment methods. Those published figures are not evidence that Skrill is currently available or that those terms still apply. Check current provider terms before making a decision based on fees or payout timing.

How to set up an available tip method
Streamlabs’ general guidance is to connect an available payment method, configure the tip page, then share that page with supporters. Dashboard labels and available processors can change, so confirm the current options shown in your account.

- Open your Streamlabs dashboard. Check which tip methods are offered for your account and country. Do not proceed on the assumption that Skrill is available simply because it appears in an older help article.
- Choose a currently offered processor. Streamlabs’ setup guidance describes the general path as Tipping > Tip Methods, selecting a processor, and completing its connection steps. Follow the labels shown in your live dashboard.
- Configure the tip page. Streamlabs says the page can include a minimum tip amount, a recommended amount, a display currency, and a customized message or image. Review the settings before sharing.
- Share your tip-page link. Add it to the places your audience can find it, such as your channel description or stream panels, and make sure supporters can open it.
PayPal
Streamlabs’ PayPal guidance says to link the correct PayPal email in donation settings. Its tip page can support one-time or monthly recurring contributions. Card tips
Streamlabs’ Stripe FAQ says creators need a checking account for the card option. It lists support in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Availability can change, so verify the option in your dashboard and consult the current Streamlabs Stripe FAQ.
The FAQ states a standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 USD, varying by streamer and donor country, and says Streamlabs does not take a fee on card tips. It also says creators must be at least 18 and processor verification may require identity details. These are Streamlabs’ published terms, not a guarantee of eligibility or the final cost for every account or transaction.

What to compare before choosing an alternative
- Availability: Is the method visible in your current dashboard and supported where you and your donors are located?
- Payout destination: Which payment account or bank account receives the funds, and what setup does the processor require?
- Fees and currency: Check processor charges as well as any withdrawal or currency-conversion charges in the provider’s current terms.
- Settlement: Find out when funds become withdrawable; the timing can differ by method and account.
- Verification and disputes: Review age requirements, identity checks, and the provider’s rules for chargebacks or disputed payments.
Streamlabs says it does not take a cut of tips on its public tipping overview, but payment processors may charge fees, and eligibility varies. Confirm the terms that apply to your own method and region before sharing the tip link. Streamlabs’ tipping overview.
