The MediaTek Dimensity 7300e is well suited to routine phone use, but the available hands-on evidence suggests it is a better fit for lighter gaming than for sustained play in demanding titles. Reviews of the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G report smooth everyday use, while gaming results vary by title. Those findings describe that handset, not every phone built around the chipset.
What the Dimensity 7300e is built with
MediaTek specifies a 6 nm chipset with an octa-core CPU: four Arm Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz. Graphics are handled by an Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. The platform supports LPDDR5 memory at up to 5500 Mbps or LPDDR4x at up to 4266 Mbps, and UFS 3.1 storage. MediaTek’s specifications describe platform capabilities; phone makers decide which options a particular model actually includes.

MediaTek also lists support for displays up to 120 Hz and 1300 × 2800 resolution, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and peak 5G downlink speeds of 3.3 Gbps. These are maximum or supported platform features, not a promise that every 7300e phone has them.

In hands-on coverage of the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G, PhoneArena describes adequate performance for social media, web browsing, and short-form video, while noting that the phone is not a raw-performance powerhouse. YugaTech reports smooth app switching, social browsing, and background multitasking on its review unit, without noticeable lag.
#1 Best Overall
- TYPE IT IN. TRANSFORM IT FAST: Enhance any shot in seconds on your smartphone by using Photo Assist² with Galaxy AI.³ Add objects, restore details, or apply new styles by simply typing or tapping
- MAKE IT. EDIT IT. SHARE IT: Turn everyday moments into something personal with creative tools built right into your mobile phone, whether it’s a special contact photo, custom wallpaper, an invitation or more³
- FAST. POWERFUL. AI-READY: Power through your day with AI-accelerated performance from our fastest, smoothest and most powerful Galaxy processor yet, built to keep up with everything you do
- RICHER COLOR. SHARPER DETAIL: The ultra-vivid display on Galaxy S26+ automatically makes every image sharper for a more immersive experience
- FIT EVERYONE IN THE SHOT: Group selfies are easier on your Samsung phone with a wider front camera⁴ that captures more of the scene, so no one gets left out of the moment
That evidence points to a capable everyday experience in the tested phone: common apps and ordinary multitasking should be within its comfort zone. It does not establish how every device with this chipset will behave. The CAMON Slim 5G’s memory configuration, thin chassis, cooling, firmware, and power controls all affect the experience alongside the processor.
Gaming: acceptable for some games, less convincing under heavy load
Reviews do not give a single blanket verdict for gaming. YugaTech found its CAMON Slim 5G review unit handled several popular titles well for a mid-range phone. PhoneArena, by contrast, said the device did not shine in synthetic graphics tests or heavier games such as Call of Duty: Mobile. Together, these observations suggest that results depend on the game and handset implementation; they do not support a fixed frame-rate promise.

What to expect in practice
- Lighter games and less demanding settings are the safer expectation.
- For graphically demanding titles, be prepared to lower graphics settings or accept less consistent performance.
- A display’s advertised refresh rate does not guarantee that a particular game will run at that rate; game support and sustained phone performance matter too.
- For long sessions, handset cooling and power management can matter as much as the chipset’s peak specifications.

How to judge a phone with this chipset
Choose based on the whole handset and its price, not the chipset name alone. If gaming is a priority, look for evidence from the exact model you are considering, ideally using the same game and settings you care about. Compare sustained performance and frame-rate stability over a stated session, not just a short benchmark result. Also check the phone’s memory configuration, cooling, display and game support, and battery capacity and charging.
Keep the model name exact when comparing specifications: the Dimensity 7300e is not interchangeable with the Dimensity 7300 or similarly named variants. MediaTek’s 7300e page specifies the Mali-G610 MC2 GPU and 6 nm process; similarly branded chipsets may have different platform details.

How to interpret MediaTek’s performance claims
MediaTek advertises “up to 8% faster CPU performance and 6% improved gaming performance” against unnamed “competitor alternative processors.” The product page does not identify those processors or provide enough testing methodology to treat the figures as universal real-world gains. MediaTek also claims up to 8% greater gaming efficiency versus the previous-generation Dimensity processor. These are vendor claims, not independent results for every phone or game.
