AirJet is Frore Systems’ solid-state active-cooling technology, and it has been used in a shipping mini PC design: ZOTAC’s ZBOX pico PI430AJ, which specifies two AirJet Mini modules. “Solid-state” does not mean passive cooling: Frore describes AirJet as active. Its advertised performance gains, however, are vendor claims rather than universal or independently verified mini-PC benchmarks.
What AirJet cooling is—and what “solid-state” means
Frore Systems describes AirJet as solid-state active cooling. That distinction matters when a product is called “fanless”: AirJet is still intended to actively cool a processor, rather than relying on passive heat dissipation alone. The high-level description establishes the kind of cooling system, but does not by itself explain its internal airflow path or heat-transfer design.

How AirJet works in a mini PC
At the level supported by Frore’s public explainer, AirJet is a solid-state cooling chip or module used to cool compact computing hardware. That is enough to distinguish the design from a conventional mini-PC cooling arrangement described simply as a fan, but not enough to give a reliable step-by-step account of the module’s physical operation. Avoid treating “solid-state” as proof that a whole computer has no moving parts, or inferring details about airflow, actuators, or the heat-transfer stack without product-specific documentation.
A real mini PC example: ZOTAC ZBOX pico PI430AJ
ZOTAC’s ZBOX pico PI430AJ demonstrates that AirJet has been incorporated into a named mini PC. ZOTAC’s launch material specifies two AirJet Mini modules, and its product brochure lists an Intel Core i3-N300 processor. This confirms a particular implementation—not a standard configuration or performance level for every AirJet-equipped computer.

What Frore’s 7 W-to-15 W claim means
Frore says AirJet can raise sustained processor power in portable mini PCs from 7 W to 15 W, allowing the processor to run twice as fast without making the system thicker, hotter, or noisy. Frore’s page does not state the workload, the exact systems compared, or independent verification for that figure. It should therefore be read as a vendor-stated comparison, not a guaranteed result, a universal benchmark, or evidence that every AirJet mini PC can sustain 15 W.
What to compare when choosing an AirJet mini PC
An AirJet-equipped system should be judged by its own design and measured results. A fair comparison with a conventionally cooled mini PC would use the same workload and comparable measurement conditions for each item:

The cited product information does not supply a controlled head-to-head dataset across these measures, so the existence of AirJet alone cannot establish that one system is faster, quieter, cooler, or more efficient than another.

Other reported mini PC examples
An October 2026 Tom’s Hardware report also describes AAEON’s UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air as a Panther Lake mini PC using AirJet. Treat reported noise and performance descriptions as reporting, not as independent test results. They do not establish how the system compares with other mini PCs under matched conditions.
