Investors interpreted the slower hiring as reducing the risk that an especially strong economy would add to inflation pressure and push the Federal Reserve toward a near-term rate increase. What happened to Micron stock after earnings?
Micron reported fiscal fourth-quarter results on Wednesday, September 30. In its weekly recap, Benzinga said the company posted revenue of $54.23 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $33.42, both above the consensus estimates cited by that outlet. Benzinga also reported Micron’s current-quarter revenue guidance at $61.5 billion, plus or minus $1.5 billion, above the consensus estimate it cited. What happened to Nvidia last week?
Nvidia’s week included both pressure from rising yields and company-specific news. It fell 0.7% on Tuesday as yields weighed on technology stocks, according to the AP. Benzinga reported that Nvidia touched $237.55 on Friday, October 2, setting a fresh all-time high, and that its board added $150 billion to the share-repurchase authorization on Monday, September 28.
