The price that fits depends chiefly on how many URLs you monitor, how often you capture them, and how long you need to keep the images. The published plans below are examples, not a market average or a like-for-like ranking.
What scheduled website screenshots cost
Provider pages show free allowances and paid plans starting at a few dollars per month. For example, Site-Shot lists $5 per month for 2,000 screenshots, while PagePixels lists $16.99 per month for 3,000. Managed archive services may bundle scheduling and retention; a screenshot API may leave scheduling and storage to you.

|---|---|---|
| ScreenshotNeo | Free: 1,000 screenshots per month; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 per month. | All features are on every plan. Its API is a different model from a managed no-code archive: you can call it from your own scheduler or use its MCP server with an AI agent. |

| WebsiteScreenshotWorld | Starter: $9/month for 1,500 screenshots. | The page lists one-month history and charges for overages and extended history. Provider pricing |
| Snapshot Archive | Starter: $14/month. | The free plan is described as three sites, daily captures, and a 30-day archive. Paid features include more frequent captures and longer retention. Provider pricing |

Estimate the number of screenshots you need
Start with this calculation:
Monitored URLs × captures per URL per month = planned monthly captures
#1 Best Overall
For a daily schedule, use roughly 30 captures per URL in a 30-day month; for an hourly schedule, use 24 × 30, or about 720. Multiply by the number of URLs. Add any test captures or retries if your provider bills for them.
For example, monitoring 10 URLs once a day means about 300 scheduled captures in a 30-day month. A plan with a 100-capture allowance would not cover that schedule, while a 1,000-capture allowance would have room for it. Confirm how a provider counts full-page screenshots, retries, and failed captures: plan pages do not consistently spell out those rules.

What changes the practical cost
Frequency and job limits
A plan’s screenshot quota is not the same as a limit on pages watched. Frequency drives usage: one page captured daily consumes about 30 monthly captures, while an hourly schedule consumes about 720 in a 30-day month. Check both the monthly quota and any maximum number of scheduled jobs or minimum interval.
Retention and storage
Keeping an archive can have a separate limit or price from making captures. Site-Shot distinguishes its capture allowance from saved-image storage, and its weekly schedule limits also vary by plan. Snapshot Archive describes plan-dependent capture cadence and retention. Compare how many days or months of history are included, and whether stored images use a separate capacity.
Rank #3
Overages and billing terms
Check the additional-capture rate and whether the service pauses, throttles, or bills when you exceed quota. WebsiteScreenshotWorld lists overage and extended-history charges; AddScreenshots lists per-screenshot overages. The displayed examples do not establish uniform tax, currency, billing-cycle, or annual-discount terms, so verify those on the checkout page.
Managed monitoring versus an API workflow
A no-code archive can include scheduling, history, and monitoring controls in one service. An API can cost less or fit a custom workflow, but you may need to run a scheduler, save images, and handle failures yourself. SnapRender describes the latter arrangement. Include your own hosting, storage, and engineering time when comparing it with a managed plan.
Rank #4
Choosing a service for your budget
- Occasional checks: Try a free tier, but check its capture allowance, number of sites or schedules, and archive duration.
- Daily monitoring of a modest URL list: Calculate the monthly volume first, then compare the quota and retention included at the entry price.
- Frequent checks or a large URL list: Compare higher-volume tiers and overage rules; a low headline price may not cover the required capture volume.
- Custom automation: Compare an API’s quota with the cost of operating your own scheduler and storage.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. Its clean-shot options accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
For a one-off capture, make a GET request (replace the URL with the page you need). See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for parameters and setup.
