How Much Does a Palworld Server Cost in 2026?

In 2026, small Palworld servers are advertised from about $3 to $13 a month, while 32-player worlds commonly fall between $20 and $85. Learn which plans meet the 16GB RAM and four-core baseline, what self-hosting really costs, and how to avoid promotional-price surprises.

Plan on about $3–$13 per month for a small rented Palworld server and roughly $20–$85 per month for a 32-player world. Those are market price ranges, not guarantees: the lowest advertised tiers often use limited RAM or introductory pricing. For a dependable installation, budget around the hardware baseline attributed to Pocketpair’s requirements summaries—16GB of RAM and at least four CPU cores—then add storage, backups and any renewal-price increase.

Palworld server costs at a glance

The amount you pay depends more on memory, CPU allocation and player count than on the game’s download size. A tiny plan may be cheap enough for testing but still fall below the commonly reported requirement for a stable dedicated world.

Use case Typical monthly price in 2026 What that usually means
Small group rental $3–$13 Entry plans marketed for a few players; many have 5–8GB RAM and may be below the 16GB baseline.
16GB rental tier About $20 and up in the reported examples A more credible starting point for a persistent world because it meets the commonly cited memory requirement.
Full 32-player world $20–$85 Reported range for larger allocations; the exact price depends on CPU, RAM, storage, region and management features.
Self-hosted machine Not established You must add hardware amortisation, electricity, internet service and maintenance; no universal monthly figure can be calculated without your equipment and location.

These ranges combine advertised and aggregator-reported figures. Provider pages can change, and a headline “from” price may apply only to a long billing term or an introductory period. Verify the checkout total, billing interval and renewal rate before committing.

What the advertised entry prices actually provide

RunOnFlux examples: $2.61 and $3.49 plans

Aggregator listings report a managed plan from $2.61 per month for 5GB of memory and another entry plan from $3.49 per month for 5GB supporting up to four players. The year and billing conditions for those figures are not stated, and the prices were not independently confirmed on a provider page.

  • [Deep Bass with Clear Vocals] High-performance drivers produce punchy bass while keeping vocals clean and detailed for everyday listening.

More importantly, 5GB is well below the 16GB requirement repeated in third-party summaries of Pocketpair’s server guidance. Such a tier may be useful for experimentation, a temporary event or a very lightly loaded test, but it should not be treated as the normal specification for a long-running community server.

Connecthosting examples: $12.99 and $21.99 plans

Reported listings show a Starter plan at $12.99 per month with 8GB of RAM and 25GB of storage, and a Pro plan at $21.99 per month with 16GB of RAM. The Starter memory allocation is still below the commonly cited requirement; the Pro allocation reaches that memory baseline, although CPU details and renewal terms must be checked directly.

Why “from” pricing can be misleading

  • A provider may show the monthly equivalent of a 12-, 24- or 36-month prepayment rather than a month-to-month price.
  • The first term can be discounted while subsequent renewals cost more.
  • Taxes, backups, extra storage, dedicated IP addresses or premium support may be separate line items.
  • Some listings describe a maximum player count without guaranteeing the RAM or CPU needed to sustain it.

Before ordering, record the one-time amount charged today, the recurring amount on the next invoice, the contract length, cancellation terms and the exact RAM and CPU allocation. A cheap plan that must be upgraded after a week is usually more expensive than choosing the appropriate tier initially.

How much RAM and CPU does a Palworld server need?

Third-party reproductions of Pocketpair’s requirements list 16GB of RAM and four or more CPU cores as the baseline for a dedicated server. They describe 32GB or more as preferable for larger servers. Community guides sometimes suggest a CPU around 3.5GHz, but that clock-speed figure is not an official requirement and should not be used as a hard purchasing rule.

Resource Practical baseline Why it matters
Memory 16GB Commonly reported requirement for a dedicated instance; leaves less room for crashes than 8GB.
Memory for larger worlds 32GB or more preferred Provides headroom for more players, longer uptime and heavier activity.
CPU At least four cores Matches the commonly reproduced requirement; actual performance also depends on processor generation and background workloads.
Storage SSD, with roughly 12–15GB for the installation Fast storage improves loading and reduces the risk associated with low-performance disks; leave additional space for saves, logs and updates.

An 8GB instance may boot, but the available guidance associates it with a higher risk of out-of-memory crashes. A 5GB plan is therefore a trial configuration, not a sensible target for a busy persistent world. Memory is only one part of capacity: a provider that advertises 16GB but gives you weak shared CPU time can still struggle during saves or periods of heavy activity.

Rental budgets by group size

Two to four players

For a private world with a few friends, the market range is approximately $3–$13 per month. The bottom of that range is dominated by low-memory offers, so a realistic budget for a less fragile setup is closer to the upper end unless you have verified that the plan includes at least 16GB RAM and four cores.

Five to 16 players

Expect to move into a plan around the 16GB baseline. The reported $21.99 Pro example illustrates why the price can jump even when the player count is modest: memory and CPU allocation are often sold in fixed tiers. Look for upgrade paths so you can add RAM without migrating your world.

Up to 32 players

Reported market figures span $20–$85 per month for a full 32-player server. The lower end may be a promotional or lightly specified configuration, while the upper end generally reflects more RAM, stronger CPU allocation, larger storage and managed features. Confirm whether “32 players” is a hard slot limit, a recommendation or merely a marketing maximum.

Self-hosting versus renting

Self-hosting has no single verified price because the required machine, electricity rate, internet plan and existing equipment differ for every owner. The same baseline still applies: plan for 16GB RAM and four or more cores, use an SSD and run a 64-bit operating system.

Costs to include when you self-host

  • Hardware: the purchase price or the monthly amortisation of a desktop, mini PC or server.
  • Power: continuous consumption multiplied by your electricity tariff.
  • Bandwidth: upload capacity, data caps and any business-grade service required for reliable uptime.
  • Maintenance: operating-system updates, game updates, backups, cooling and replacement parts.
  • Availability: a home outage or router restart takes the world offline unless you add redundancy.

For a small group, compare that total—not just the hardware sticker price—with the roughly $10–$20 per month rental tier. Renting can be cheaper if you would need to buy a machine, while self-hosting can win when you already own suitable hardware and value full control. Do not assume self-hosting is free: electricity and internet costs continue every month.

Technical requirements before you order

  • Operating system: 64-bit Windows or 64-bit Linux.
  • Network port: UDP 8211 is the default.
  • Storage: allow roughly 12–15GB for the installation, plus free space for saves, logs and updates; SSD storage is recommended.
  • Installation method: install through Steam’s Tools filter or with SteamCMD.
  • Memory and CPU: target 16GB RAM and at least four cores; consider 32GB for a larger community.

If you change the listening port, update the server configuration and the firewall or router rule together. Opening the wrong protocol (TCP instead of UDP) will prevent players from connecting even when the server process is running.

How to estimate your real monthly bill

  1. Choose the player target. Count regular players, not the number you hope to host someday. Add headroom for guests and peak sessions.
  2. Set the resource floor. Reject any plan that cannot provide 16GB RAM and four CPU cores for a production world, unless you knowingly accept a test-only setup.
  3. Check storage and backups. Confirm SSD-backed storage, included capacity and whether automated backups are included or charged separately.
  4. Calculate the first term. Multiply the advertised monthly equivalent by the required billing term and add taxes or setup fees.
  5. Calculate renewal. Locate the post-introduction price in the checkout or terms. If it is not shown, ask support before paying.
  6. Price upgrades. Record the cost to move from 16GB to 32GB and whether your save can be migrated without a new IP address.
  7. Compare self-hosting honestly. Add hardware amortisation, power, bandwidth and your own maintenance time to the rental quote.

For example, a four-player plan advertised at $3.49 may look inexpensive, but if it has only 5GB RAM it does not meet the commonly cited baseline. A $12.99 plan with 8GB has the same issue. A $21.99 plan with 16GB is closer to the stated requirement, but you still need to verify its CPU allocation, backups and renewal price.

Common failure modes and fixes

Out-of-memory crashes

Symptoms include the process stopping during busy sessions, slow recovery after a save or an operating-system out-of-memory message. Move from 8GB to at least 16GB, close unrelated services and check logs before increasing the player cap.

Players cannot connect

Verify that the server is listening on UDP 8211 (or your chosen replacement), then check the host firewall, router forwarding and the address players are using. A correct game configuration cannot compensate for a blocked UDP rule.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Save corruption or very slow loading

Low-performance storage increases risk. Move the installation and save directory to SSD storage, keep rotating backups and test restoring a backup before you need it.

Unexpected renewal bill

Save a copy of the order summary showing the introductory and recurring prices. Set a calendar reminder before renewal and downgrade, migrate or cancel according to the provider’s stated notice period.

What to verify on a provider’s page

  • Dedicated or guaranteed RAM, rather than “up to” memory.
  • Number of CPU cores and whether they are shared or reserved.
  • Player-slot limit and any CPU or memory limit attached to that limit.
  • SSD type, storage quota and backup retention.
  • Datacenter region and expected latency for your players.
  • One-time promotional price, normal renewal price and billing term.
  • Migration, cancellation and refund policies.
  • Support response process when the server crashes or becomes unreachable.

Because many public price roundups are promotional, treat their figures as leads rather than contracts. The provider’s checkout and terms control what you will actually pay and receive.

Bottom line

A Palworld server for a few friends can be advertised for $3–$13 monthly, but the cheapest listings often provide only 5–8GB RAM. For a reliable dedicated world, use 16GB RAM and four or more CPU cores as the planning floor, and consider 32GB for a larger community. Full 32-player hosting is commonly reported at $20–$85 per month. Self-hosting may cost less when you already own suitable hardware, but only after you account for electricity, bandwidth, maintenance and downtime risk.
