Meta’s Muse Wonder models and its Llama models differ most clearly in how Meta presents and distributes them: Wonder is offered through Meta’s hosted API and Muse Code, while Meta describes Llama as an open-source model family. Meta says Wonder is built for agentic work, but its launch evaluations do not establish that Wonder Full outperforms Llama—or other open models—in an independent, apples-to-apples comparison.
What are Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full?
Meta announced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, 2026. It describes them as its most capable models for personal and professional agentic tasks. The announcement emphasizes two capabilities, which Meta calls Active Memory and Active Focus.

Active Memory and Active Focus
Meta says Active Memory carries important context across conversations and retrieves relevant details. It describes Active Focus as working toward a goal over time: trying alternatives, adapting to new information, asking for clarification, and checking in before important actions. These are Meta’s descriptions of the models, not guarantees that they will behave this way in every task or deployment.
Where Meta says you can use them
In its October 12 announcement, Meta said Wonder was available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code, while Wonder Full was available to Muse Code subscribers. Meta also said Wonder would soon power experiences in Muse, initially rolling out to subscribers. Availability can change; these are the routes specified in the announcement, not a guarantee of present-day access.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The announcement does not establish Wonder’s price, parameter count, context window, or downloadable weights. Those details should not be inferred from Llama or other Meta models.
How Wonder compares with Llama and other open models
The clearest supported difference is release and deployment posture—not a definitive performance ranking.

| Option | Access or release posture | What the cited Meta material establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Muse Wonder | Meta Model API and Muse Code, according to Meta’s October 12, 2026 announcement. | Meta presents it for agentic tasks and highlights Active Memory, Active Focus, domain expertise, and coding. The announcement does not establish downloadable weights or pricing. |
| Muse Wonder Full | Muse Code subscribers, according to Meta’s October 12, 2026 announcement. | Meta describes it as part of the Wonder series. The announcement does not establish downloadable weights, pricing, or a directly comparable independent performance result. |
| Llama | Meta’s developer page describes Llama as an open-source model family. | Meta reports more than 600 million model downloads; the page does not establish an independently audited count or identical licensing terms for every release. Check the license for the specific model you intend to use. |
| Muse Glimmer | A separate open-weight model that Meta says is designed for local workflows. | Meta describes Glimmer as a 30-billion-parameter model with weights released under Apache 2.0. Its local-use and hardware statements apply to Glimmer, not Wonder or every Llama model. |
Does “open” mean the same thing for every model?
No. Meta uses “open-source” to describe the Llama family on its developer page, but that does not establish identical terms for every Llama release. Review the license and release materials for the particular checkpoint. Meta separately describes Glimmer as open-weight and says its weights are released under Apache 2.0. The Wonder announcement names hosted product routes; it does not say Wonder shares Llama’s or Glimmer’s release terms.
What Meta’s Wonder evaluations show—and what they do not
Meta describes evaluations covering law, finance, health, memory, long-running tasks, and coding. The named evaluations include Harvey’s Legal Agent Benchmark, FocusBench, and SWE-Marathon. These results are Meta-reported evaluations; they should not be treated as independent confirmation or a universal ranking.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
A meaningful comparison would require Wonder Full and specific Llama or other open-model versions to be tested under comparable conditions, with settings and evaluation methods disclosed. The available material does not provide that basis for declaring a general winner. Meta’s discussion of “benchmaxxing” is its own framing of benchmark coverage, not independent proof that the models generalize better.
Can you run Wonder locally?
The cited Wonder announcement establishes access through Meta’s API and Muse Code, but does not establish downloadable Wonder weights or local inference. Meta’s local-model announcement concerns Muse Glimmer, a separate model. Meta says Glimmer is designed for local agent workflows and can run on a Mac or PC with one consumer GPU, but it does not specify a minimum GPU. That hardware statement cannot be transferred to Wonder or used as a hardware recommendation for a particular Llama checkpoint.

For Glimmer, Meta names Ollama, LM Studio, and Unsloth as local-running partners, and llama.cpp, ExecuTorch, and MLX as edge frameworks. Those options describe Glimmer’s ecosystem, not Wonder’s availability.

Cost and hardware
The October 12 Wonder announcement does not establish API pricing or Muse Code subscription pricing. Nor does it provide a Wonder hardware specification. The 30-billion-parameter figure and consumer-GPU statement apply to Glimmer alone.

Safety claims
Meta says Wonder has its strongest safeguards to date against CBRN and cyber misuse and describes its alignment work. It also says a fuller report with additional safety evaluations will be available soon. These are Meta’s claims, not an independent safety audit; the promised report is not included in the cited launch material.
Quick Recap
Which model makes sense for your use case?
- Choose the Wonder route if you want to try Meta’s agentic models through the API or Muse Code and are comfortable with the access terms and pricing available to you.
- Consider Llama if you want to evaluate Meta’s open-source model family. Check the exact release’s license and deployment requirements rather than assuming all variants are interchangeable.
- Consider Glimmer if your priority is a Meta model explicitly presented for local workflows. Its stated local hardware context applies to Glimmer only, and Meta does not specify a minimum GPU in the cited announcement.
