MDClone’s reported Clockify workflow is straightforward: team members record time against project tasks, then managers review Clockify reports to calculate client billable hours and examine professional-services resource use and task mix. A Clockify customer story says that, as of early 2026, MDClone had approximately 130 members across Israel, the United States, and Europe. Those are employee locations—not Clockify data-hosting regions.
How MDClone uses Clockify to track project work
MDClone is a Healthcare IT company that says it helps health centers, government agencies, and pharmacies speed clinical research and improve patient care. Its Clockify customer story presents the experience through Dana Arditi, identified as the company’s customer service and account manager. The account describes MDClone’s approach to project and task time tracking; it should be read as the company’s reported experience, not an independently validated performance study. Arditi says the team primarily records time on project tasks and reviews the results in Clockify’s Reports module. The reported aim is to calculate hours billable to clients and understand how the professional-services team uses its time, including which tasks consume it.
What the team wanted to see
- Project and client hours: how much time was spent on projects and customers, including hours to bill.
- Resource utilization: whether the professional-services team was being over-leveraged.
- Task mix: what work accounted for the tracked hours.
Clockify’s story discusses project and task setup, rates, budgets or time caps, threshold alerts, and several report types. It names detailed reports with cost and profit columns and filters, attendance reports, and assignment reports comparing scheduled with tracked time. The story does not establish that MDClone used every feature; its specific description is that the team mainly tracked project tasks and viewed them in reports.

How to apply the project-and-task reporting workflow
For a team seeking similar visibility, the core is to organize time entries around work that can be reviewed and billed, then use reports to inspect both totals and task-level detail. The following is a practical interpretation of the workflow described in the customer story, not a claim that MDClone follows each step exactly.
- Set up projects and tasks. Represent client or internal engagements as projects, and define tasks that distinguish the kinds of work the team needs to analyze.
- Record time against the relevant task. Consistent project and task selection is what makes later totals useful for client billing and task analysis.
- Configure rates or limits if needed. Clockify’s story describes project or task rates, budgets or time caps, and alerts before thresholds. These can support cost and budget monitoring, but are not required to understand the basic tracking workflow.
- Review reports for the question at hand. Use project and task results to calculate billable hours and inspect professional-services utilization and task mix. Other report types may offer different views, such as attendance or scheduled-versus-tracked assignments.
Report visibility depends on the quality of the underlying entries and project/task structure. A report can organize tracked time, but the customer story does not claim a measured productivity gain, cost saving, or clinical outcome from using Clockify.
Three employee geographies are not three Clockify hosting regions
The customer story places MDClone team members in Israel, the United States, and Europe. Separately, Clockify’s help documentation lists four data regions: USA, EU (Germany), UK, and Australia. Regional hosting is available to workspace owners on Pro and Enterprise; if a workspace owner does not select a specific region, Clockify says workspace data is stored in the global region by default. Consequently, the team’s locations do not establish where its Clockify workspace data is hosted. The three geographies in the customer story and Clockify’s four listed hosting regions describe different things.
What regional hosting covers—and what it does not
Clockify says data residency primarily affects where workspace data is stored while it is not in use. Its documentation lists time entries, user activity data, invoice and financial records, workspace configurations, and search indexes as stored in the selected region.
It also says some information may be stored outside that region in the CAKE.com account, including member profiles, organization and workspace details, internal metrics, service logs and analytics, and system IDs. Selecting a region therefore should not be interpreted as a promise that every category of company or operational data remains within that region.

What to expect before changing a workspace’s region
A data-region change can affect access and integrations, not just storage location. Clockify says a transfer may take up to 12 hours; during that period, users are logged out and cannot access the workspace or track time. Owners can move a workspace from global to regional hosting, but cannot move it from a regional server back to global. Moving between regional servers is available. Clockify’s data residency documentation
Check API integrations
API users need to use the endpoint for the selected region. Clockify’s regional API documentation lists the available API URLs, and a workspace transfer generates new API keys. Confirm that connected services use the appropriate regional URL and update credentials after a transfer. Clockify’s regional API server guidance
What the customer story does—and does not—show
Arditi’s account supports a practical use case: organize time by project and task, then use reports to calculate billable client hours and inspect professional-services utilization and task mix. Clockify attributes an approximately 130-member team across Israel, the United States, and Europe to Arditi as of early 2026.
The story does not provide an independently measured productivity increase, dollar savings, clinical result, or controlled before-and-after comparison. It is useful as an example of how one distributed e-health company reports using a time-tracking tool, not as proof that the same setup will produce a particular outcome for another organization.
