YouTube’s official documentation reviewed does not state a maximum number of upcoming live streams a channel can schedule. The often-quoted limits of 10 streams per channel and 3 per stream key apply to streams that are active at the same time—not to the number of future events on your schedule.
Scheduled streams and active streams are different limits
A scheduled stream is an event set up for a future time. YouTube Studio separates events into “Live Now,” “Upcoming,” and “Live Replay”; an upcoming stream is one that has not yet streamed and is scheduled for later.

YouTube Help states that a channel can have up to 10 active streams and a stream key can have up to 3 active streams. Both limits apply simultaneously. These figures describe concurrent broadcasts, not scheduled events waiting to start.

What YouTube does—and does not—specify
- Upcoming schedule count: The official YouTube Help and Google API documentation reviewed do not give a numeric maximum for upcoming scheduled streams. That does not establish that the number is unlimited; YouTube may enforce a limit that is not stated in those materials.
- Active broadcasts: The documented limits are 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key, with both restrictions applying at once.
- Daily stream creation: YouTube also says it limits how many live streams a channel can create in a 24-hour period. The guidance reviewed does not state the numerical allowance. This is a separate restriction from both the upcoming-event count and simultaneous-active limits.
How to plan a series of scheduled streams
You can schedule a sequence of broadcasts through YouTube Studio. For API workflows, Google documents creating multiple scheduled broadcast resources and binding them to one reusable stream configuration when the events use the same streaming settings. The documentation supports a series workflow but does not publish a maximum schedule count.

For events that may overlap, plan around the active-stream limits: check how many broadcasts will be running at once and how many use each stream key. Scheduling two events for different times does not, by itself, make them concurrent; the limits matter when broadcasts are active.

You can schedule multiple upcoming streams, but YouTube’s official material reviewed does not specify a maximum number. Do not confuse that unanswered schedule-count question with the separate limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key.
