It does not publish a complete factory workflow or a standard order-to-delivery timeline. Here is what buyers can expect—and what Lucid’s production figures do and do not tell you.
What happens after you place a Lucid order?
Lucid describes a customer-facing sequence rather than a fixed checklist with universal deadlines. After an order is placed, a Lucid team guides the customer through confirming vehicle details, completing payment or financing, and preparing for delivery. The team also shares updates and coordinates the delivery location and preferences. Lucid says the process is guided by its team, but does not specify a standard update cadence or timing for each step.

On delivery day, Lucid says customers receive a personalized walkthrough of the vehicle’s features. The handoff may take place at a delivery center or through another option offered in the customer’s area. The exact arrangement is order- and location-dependent. Where can you take delivery?
Lucid says it supports delivery in all 50 U.S. states and most regions in Canada. Its FAQ describes two practical options, subject to local availability:

Delivery generally must take place in the state where the vehicle will be registered, due to local regulations. Lucid says delivery in a nearby state may sometimes be possible, depending on the location, registration information, and payment method. Do not assume that an exception or a particular fee applies to your order; ask your Lucid team to confirm the handoff location and terms.
The FAQ covers the United States and most of Canada. It does not establish that identical delivery arrangements apply in Europe or the Middle East.

What is known about Lucid’s factory process?
Lucid identifies its factory in Casa Grande, Arizona, as a purpose-built electric-vehicle facility spanning 500 acres. On its company page, Lucid says the plant began with capacity for 10,000 cars per year and that planned expansions could scale it to more than 300,000 vehicles annually. These are company descriptions of initial capacity and a planned expansion scale—not evidence of the factory’s current output.
Lucid’s public materials cited here do not describe individual factory stations, production checkpoints, inspection criteria, transportation partners, or vehicle-specific tracking events. A buyer therefore cannot use the published factory description to determine where a particular vehicle is in production or transit.
What do Lucid’s production and delivery numbers mean?
For Q3 2026, Lucid reported 2,954 vehicles produced and 3,806 delivered. In its October 5, 2026 release, the company said deliveries exceeded production because it was converting existing vehicle inventory into customer deliveries while aligning production with near-term demand. It also attributed the sequential production decline to the elimination of a second shift at AMP-1 in June.
The figures count different things: production is vehicles made during the quarter, while deliveries can include vehicles made earlier and held in inventory. Lucid’s results illustrate why the two totals need not match. They do not establish the build status, delivery date, or wait time for any individual customer. What should you confirm for your order?
- That the vehicle details being finalized match your order.
- How and when to complete payment or financing.
- Whether pickup or home delivery is available in your area, and any applicable fee.
- Whether delivery must occur in your registration state or a nearby-state arrangement is possible for your circumstances.
- What updates to expect from your Lucid team; the public FAQ does not set a universal notification schedule or handoff deadline.
Lucid’s August 4, 2026 Q2 2026 results and operational reset announcement names supply chain, logistics, inventory management, quality control, factory scaling, and delivery timing among business risks and uncertainties. Its stated operational goals are management plans, not guarantees about an individual order.
