How long does it take to beat Valor Mortis?
One More Level, Valor Mortis’ developer, says it believes the game has “the quality, fidelity, and playtime in its 20-hour story to go toe-to-toe with many ‘full price’ titles” in its Steam announcement. Treat 20 hours as the developer’s stated story target, not a guaranteed time for every player.

Preview-era expectations suggest a narrative-focused run may land closer to 20–25 hours. Game director Radoslaw Ratusznik’s estimate of around 25 hours was reported by VDGMS. That remains an expectation rather than a measured average from the released game.

What do the preview playtimes tell us?
Game Informer’s preview writer said the preview demo took roughly 15 hours and expected substantially more content in the final build. That 15-hour figure applies to the demo, not the full game, so it should not be read as the time needed to finish Valor Mortis.

At the time of the stated release schedule, Valor Mortis had not launched. Steam listed it as a single-player game from One More Level, published by Lyrical Games and One More Level, with a planned release date of October 13, 2026. Until players can complete the released game, there is no post-release player-average completion time to compare with the developer’s target.
How long could a completionist run take?
Insider Gaming suggested that seeking optional content could add roughly five to ten hours to the official 20-hour story target, implying about 25–30 hours for a completionist-style run. This is an editorial projection, not a verified 100% completion figure; the actual time will depend on what optional activities the final game includes and how thoroughly a player pursues them.

Does difficulty affect the total hours?
Retry time can change a playthrough’s length, especially in a challenging action game. The available estimates do not establish how much time players will spend retrying encounters in Valor Mortis, so there is no reliable number to add for difficulty. Treat the 20–25-hour story range as an expectation, not a timed guarantee for every play style.
