With the charging case, the listed totals range from up to 24 to 48 hours, depending on the model and settings. Those figures do not tell you how many years the batteries will remain useful: Skullcandy’s published support information does not specify a battery lifespan or capacity-retention period.
How many hours do Skullcandy Sesh earbuds last per charge?
Skullcandy lists different runtimes for Sesh Evo, Sesh ANC, and Sesh ANC Active. The earbud-only figure is playback from a charge; the total figure includes recharging from the case. These are manufacturer-published maximum playback claims, not independent test results.

For Sesh ANC Active with ANC on, the same support page has an FAQ bullet that says the case provides “30+ hours.” Its initial specifications and detailed breakdown instead say 21 hours from the case and 28 hours total; the table uses that consistent breakdown.
How many years do Sesh earbuds last?
Skullcandy’s listed playback hours are not a multi-year battery-life estimate. The official model pages cited above do not state a battery cycle count, expected service life in years, or capacity-retention curve. Those figures therefore cannot establish how long a particular pair will remain usable. Actual service life depends on the earbuds’ use and battery condition, and the available specifications do not support a more precise estimate.

What to check if your Sesh Evo earbuds stop charging
Before assuming the battery has failed, Skullcandy recommends checking the charging connection and how the earbuds sit in the case. Its instructions here are specific to Sesh Evo.
- Inspect the charging pins and remove any debris that could block contact.
- Check that the removable ear gels are positioned so the earbuds sit correctly in the case.
- Use a charging cable, charger, or outlet rated no higher than 18 watts (5 V/3.6 A), as Skullcandy advises.
- If the indicator stays dark or the problem continues, follow the support page’s direction to submit a warranty claim. See Sesh Evo charging support.
Does water resistance affect battery lifespan?
No published water-resistance rating establishes how many years a battery will last. Ratings are model-specific: Skullcandy’s Sesh Evo sell sheet lists IP55 sweat, water, and dust resistance, while its Sesh ANC Active support page describes an IP67 rating and says the earbuds may be submerged up to one meter for 30 minutes under testing conditions. Skullcandy advises drying Sesh ANC Active earbuds before putting them back in the case. Do not apply either model’s rating to another Sesh version or treat it as a guarantee of long-term operation. What warranty applies if the battery or charging fails?
Skullcandy’s current warranty policy describes a one-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. A claim requires proof of purchase from an authorized seller; the receipt or invoice must identify the model, purchase price, and purchase date. Skullcandy also says it cannot guarantee an exact replacement will be available. Warranty eligibility and other remedies depend on purchase circumstances and location, and the policy sits alongside local consumer-law rights.
