OnePlus says smartphones and tablets receive security updates for at least three years after launch, but its model-by-model table lists specific security-support end dates, and Android version upgrades are a separate commitment. Check both commitments for your exact model and regional variant.
What OnePlus promises—and what the dates mean
OnePlus’s UK Product Security Update Period page says it provides security updates for smartphones and tablets for a minimum of three years following product launch. That is a baseline, not a reliable end date for every phone: the page’s model table gives individual end dates, which are more useful when checking a particular device.

Security updates address security issues; Android OS upgrades move a phone to a newer major Android version. One commitment does not establish the other. A security-support end date is not a count of Android upgrades, and a promised number of Android generations does not by itself give a security-support end date.
Security-support end dates listed for selected models
The following dates are the security update period end dates listed by OnePlus on its UK page, accessed in 2026. They are manufacturer-listed support dates, not independently measured delivery results.
| Phone | Security support end date listed by OnePlus | Android OS upgrade count established by the cited model-specific information |
|---|---|---|
| OnePlus 13 | 07-Jan-2031 | not stated |
| OnePlus 12 | 01-Feb-2029 | not stated |
| OnePlus 11 | 01-Feb-2028 | At least four generations, per its UK specifications page |
| OnePlus 10 Pro | 01-Jan-2026 | not stated |
OnePlus’s UK OnePlus 11 specifications page promises “At least four generations of android OS upgrades and five years of security updates from the launch date.” These are two distinct, launch-based commitments; the security table separately lists 01-Feb-2028 as the OnePlus 11’s security-support end date. Do not apply that OnePlus 11 upgrade promise to other models.

- Identify the exact phone and variant. Confirm the model name and regional or carrier version, rather than relying on a similarly named phone’s support period.
- Check OnePlus’s Product Security Update Period page. Find the exact model in the table and note its listed security end date. If the model or variant is not listed, the page does not establish its end date.
- Check the model’s official specifications or support page for Android upgrades. Look for a specific count of Android OS generations. Do not infer one from the security end date or from the number of Android releases the phone has already received.
Why an eligible update may arrive later
A published support period does not mean every owner receives every update on the same day. OnePlus says actual security-update delivery times may vary by country or region and model. Its OxygenOS 16 compatibility and rollout information says rollout happens in batches and timing can vary by device, country and carrier; schedules for carrier-exclusive models are determined by the respective carriers. Compatibility with a particular OxygenOS release establishes eligibility for that release, not a promise of future Android generations.
