Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass is a progression track, the Shop sells items that unlock immediately, and the Exchange uses a separate currency. As of the November 18, 2025 patch notes, the final Operation Pass is Operation: Infinite: its free track has 100 tiers, while Premium access costs 1,000 Halo Credits or 2,500 Credits for an option that also unlocks 20 tiers immediately. Passes do not expire, but Premium is needed to keep progressing an older pass after its Operation ends.
How Battle Pass and Operation Pass progression works
Halo Support describes the Battle Pass as a way to earn Spartan, vehicle, and weapon customizations through multiplayer challenges. Match XP and challenge progress advance tiers; when you reach a tier, its reward unlocks. The support FAQ says free rewards are marked, while rewards on the Premium track require Premium to claim. If you buy Premium after advancing the free track, you can claim eligible Premium rewards up to your current tier.

Official support now uses both “Battle Pass” and “Operation Pass.” Each Operation has a corresponding pass, and your progress goes to the pass you currently have selected. Halo Support says passes do not expire. If an Operation is no longer active, you need Premium to continue progressing that pass.
What Operation: Infinite includes
Halo Waypoint announced Operation: Infinite as the game’s final Operation Pass. The free pass has 100 tiers and includes three full armor sets. Its Premium Pass adds another 100 tiers, with five additional armor sets, six weapon models, and more than 30 exclusive Spartan customizations, according to Halo Waypoint’s 2025 announcement.

Halo Support’s November 18, 2025 patch notes say both Premium offers remain available without an end date. The free track can be progressed without buying Premium; Premium is needed only for Premium rewards and for continued progress on an inactive older pass.
How the Shop differs from the pass and Exchange
The Battle Pass rewards are earned by progressing through tiers. Shop offers, by contrast, unlock immediately after purchase. Halo Support says some Shop offers change weekly and others daily, so check the in-game Shop or Halo Waypoint for the current lineup rather than relying on an old item list.
The Exchange is a separate storefront that takes Spartan Points (SP), not Halo Credits. Halo Support says SP can come from Daily Challenges, Ultimate Challenges, qualifying new Operation Passes, and some pass tiers. Halo Credits are purchased with real money and are used for Shop purchases and paid pass access.

How to buy or check an offer
- For Halo Waypoint: sign in with the Xbox account you use for Halo Infinite, open your Halo Infinite Service Record, then open the Store area.
- For Credits: select a Credits bundle. Halo Waypoint redirects you to Xbox.com to complete checkout.
- For a pass or Shop item: select the offer and confirm spending the displayed Halo Credits.
- For the Exchange: open its separate tile and select an item to spend Spartan Points.
Account, display, and refund caveats
Halo Credits and progress are tied to the Xbox account signed in for the purchase and game. Credits bought outside the in-game Shop may not appear until you fully restart Halo Infinite; Halo Support advises avoiding Quick Resume or suspending the game while refreshing the balance. Credits already redeemed for an item or pass cannot be refunded, so check the selected account and offer before confirming.
