Colorlib Reg Form V6 is a free, four-field front-end template for collecting a job applicant’s name, email, message and CV. It is built with HTML and CSS and does not need JavaScript, but it will not send or store applications on its own: you must connect it to a server script, CMS handler or form service.

The template uses plain HTML and CSS, according to Colorlib’s form-template article. Colorlib says it needs no JavaScript. That describes the template’s front end; it does not establish that an implementation is accessible, secure or ready for production.
Does the form send applications?
No. Reg Form V6 displays the application fields, but it does not transmit or store submissions by itself. Colorlib’s guidance is to connect the form to a server-side script, CMS handler or form service. Without a configured receiver, applicants may fill in the form without their applications reaching you.

Connect a receiving handler
- Set the form’s
actionto the URL of the server script, CMS handler or form service that will receive submissions. - Set
method="post"so the form sends its submitted data using POST. - Implement server-side validation before accepting or using the submitted data. Browser-side checks alone are not a substitute.
- Test the complete submission path, including what the applicant sees after submitting and where the application becomes available to your team.
These steps follow Colorlib’s implementation guidance; the template itself does not provide the receiving system.
What to check before accepting CV uploads
A visible file-upload control is not the same as a working, safe upload workflow. Colorlib’s description does not specify accepted file types, a maximum file size, storage behavior or security controls for Reg Form V6. Those details depend on the receiving handler you configure.

- Choose and enforce allowed file types and size limits in the receiving system.
- Decide where CVs will be stored and who can access them.
- Check how the implementation handles invalid files and failed submissions.
- Confirm the process for retaining and deleting applicant data suits your needs.
These are implementation checks, not capabilities documented for the template.

Customize the fields and appearance
Edit the HTML to change the fields, their names and IDs. When changing a field, keep its visible label associated with the corresponding input. Edit the stylesheet to adjust colors, fonts and spacing. Colorlib also advises keeping labels visible and checking the layout at phone width; that guidance does not establish a particular accessibility standard or guarantee how this specific form behaves on every device.

Reg Form V6’s four fields make it a concise starting point when an applicant needs to provide basic contact details, a message and a CV. A longer flow may suit a process that needs additional sections or a cover letter. Colorlib separately describes Job Application Form V01 as having three sections, a CV picker, a cover letter and a client-side error summary. Those are descriptions from Colorlib’s collection, not results of comparative testing. The right choice depends on the information your hiring process needs and whether you have a receiving backend configured.
