How to get into Poki and start a game
- Open a current browser on your computer, phone, or tablet.
- Enter poki.com manually, or use the official link above.
- Browse categories or type a title into the search field.
- Select a game and wait for its game screen to finish loading.
- Read the on-page Controls section. Depending on the game and device, it may explain keyboard keys, mouse actions, taps, swipes, or other controls.
- Click, tap, or press the indicated control to begin. Use the game’s fullscreen button if one is provided.
Poki describes its service as instant browser play on desktop, mobile, and tablet. Games are delivered through the browser rather than installed as ordinary software.
Do you need a Poki account?
No. You can play without registering. Poki says an account is free and optional; it is mainly useful when you want progress associated with an online account and available across supported devices.
Playing without an account
Without an account, a game’s progress may be kept in your browser’s cookies or local browser data. Private browsing, blocking cookies, changing browsers, or clearing site data can interrupt or remove that progress.

Playing with an account
To sign in, open the accounts menu at the top left of the Poki screen and choose an available method. Poki currently lists Apple, Google, Microsoft, and passkey sign-in. Poki says account progress is stored online and intended to follow you between devices, although unusual game-specific progress may not synchronize identically in every title.

Resetting saved progress
Clearing Poki cookies or local site data can reset local progress across Poki games, not just one game. Do this only if you accept that loss.
Do you need to download an app?
Not for normal web play. Poki says its games run in the browser and do not require installation. Poki also has an Android app on Google Play, but the app is optional and is not the standard requirement for opening Poki.

Avoid unofficial “Poki APK” files, browser extensions, or installers that claim to unlock games. Use the official website or the official store listing instead.

Work through Poki’s support suggestions in this order:
- Confirm that other websites work and that your internet connection is active.
- Leave incognito or private browsing and reopen Poki in a normal window.
- If you use an ad blocker, temporarily disable it for Poki only if you trust the site and understand the privacy change. Poki lists ad blockers as a possible cause of loading or display problems, not as a universal security requirement.
- Refresh the page.
- Try a current browser, another browser, or another supported device.
- If the main site works but one game does not, treat it as a game-specific problem rather than assuming Poki is down.
For continuing gameplay or loading problems, email [email protected]. Include the game title, browser, device, a description of what happened, and a screenshot if possible.

What if Poki is blocked at school or work?
A school or workplace firewall can block gaming sites independently of your Poki account. Follow the network’s rules and ask its administrator if access is needed for an approved reason. Otherwise, use Poki on an allowed personal network, such as at home. Do not use VPNs, proxy sites, mirror sites, or other methods to evade school or workplace controls. Poki notes that network location can also affect regional versions and privacy or age-rule displays; its privacy information is at poki.com/en/privacy.
Is Poki free and safe?
Cost and advertising
Poki’s FAQ says its games are free to play. Advertising supports the service and its game developers, and Poki says it does not offer a paid, ad-free version of the standard Poki.com service. You should not need to enter payment information to access ordinary games.
Poki describes Poki Kids as an ad-free, child-friendly option. Availability and content can vary by region and product.

Choosing games for children
Poki says it reviews games and ads, but that is the company’s own description, not an independent guarantee that every title suits every child. The wider catalog includes genres such as shooting, horror, and fighting. Parents should check each game’s content, the child’s age and maturity, and the device’s parental settings. Some games may use Poki Safe Chat with predefined messages; do not assume that every title has the same communication features.

Yes on a phone or tablet: Poki says its games are available on mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers, and the game’s Controls section provides mobile guidance where applicable. Controls and performance can differ from one device or title to another.
No offline: Poki’s FAQ says the games run online in the browser and require an internet connection. Loading a page before losing connectivity does not turn the service into a supported offline mode.

How to report a bad game, bug, or unsafe ad
- Computer: use the flag button at the bottom-right of the game screen.
- Phone or tablet: email [email protected].
Give Poki the game title, device, browser, a clear description, and a screenshot when possible. If something appears unsafe or inappropriate, report it rather than interacting with it further.
If “get into Poki” means something else
Publish a game
Developers should use Poki for Developers. It is the official destination for publishing information, best practices, and developer requirements. Submission rules, technical details, and commercial terms can change, so check the live documentation.
Apply for a job
Employment information is on Poki’s official jobs site. Openings change, so treat any listed role or open application as time-sensitive rather than permanent.
