The most reliable check is Ubisoft’s Account Information page. Sign in to each Ubisoft account you might have used, open the linked-accounts section, and look for the Xbox entry. That page identifies the Ubisoft account currently connected to the Xbox profile; Xbox settings usually show your Microsoft account and gamertag, not the Ubisoft email address.
Check the linked Xbox account on Ubisoft’s website
- Open https://account.ubisoft.com/account-information.
- Sign in to the Ubisoft account you think may be connected.
- Find Linked accounts, Account linking, or the platform-connections area. Ubisoft may change the exact label or layout.
- Find the Xbox entry and compare its displayed identity with the gamertag on the Xbox profile you use for the game.
- While signed in, note the Ubisoft username and email address shown for that account.
- If Xbox is not listed, sign out and repeat the check with every other plausible Ubisoft login.

Find the right Ubisoft login when you forgot the email
Search your inboxes
Search every email account you may have used for messages from “Ubisoft,” “Ubisoft Connect,” or the specific game. Receipts, verification messages, and security alerts can reveal which address created the account.

Try Ubisoft’s password-reset process for each plausible address. A successful reset message is a useful indication that the address has a Ubisoft account, but you still need to check its linked-accounts page for Xbox.

Check saved credentials safely
Look in your browser’s saved passwords or password manager for Ubisoft entries. Do not post passwords or recovery codes, and avoid third-party account-lookup services.
Use the game as a clue
If a Ubisoft game signs in automatically on Xbox, open its Ubisoft Connect, profile, account, or social menu. Depending on the game and version, it may show a Ubisoft username, avatar, or another identifier. It may not show the email address, so use this as a clue rather than definitive proof.
Xbox gamertag and Ubisoft identity are different

These names and email addresses can all differ. The Xbox console can confirm which Microsoft profile is active, but Ubisoft’s account-management page is the authoritative place to verify the Ubisoft connection.

What if the website does not show Xbox?
- You may be signed in to the wrong Ubisoft account. Repeat the check with other addresses.
- You may have launched the game with a different Xbox profile, such as a family member’s profile.
- The game may use a game-specific sign-in prompt or may not yet have a platform connection.
- Ubisoft may have changed the dashboard wording or layout.
Launch the game on the exact Xbox profile in question and inspect its Ubisoft Connect profile. Do not unlink the Xbox profile simply to test another login.
If the wrong Ubisoft account appears
Stop before unlinking anything. First establish where the game’s progression, purchases, rewards, and other entitlements are stored and confirm that you are using the intended Xbox profile. A shared console may have several Microsoft profiles, each with a different Ubisoft connection.
Ubisoft documents account-linking instructions here: linking other accounts to your Ubisoft account. Ubisoft’s cross-progression rules state that only one account from a participating platform can be linked in the relevant system, and changing a console link can be restricted. In the For Honor cross-progression system, incorrectly merged progress remains on the Ubisoft account used for the merge even if the console account is later relinked; that behavior should not be assumed for every Ubisoft title.

Unlinking is not a safe account-merging method. Depending on the game and system, progress or entitlements may remain tied to the original Ubisoft account or become difficult to access.
When you cannot access the old Ubisoft email
Finding which account is linked and recovering access to it are separate problems. Contact Ubisoft Support and be prepared to verify ownership with details such as:
- Your Xbox gamertag and Microsoft account information.
- The Ubisoft username, if the game or website displays it.
- Ubisoft purchase receipts and approximate purchase or play dates.
- The relevant game titles and console history, if requested.
Support may investigate after an ownership check; it cannot be assumed that an account email will be disclosed or restored without verification.

If the Ubisoft account was deleted
This is different from an ordinary linking error. Ubisoft’s privacy policy says closing an account can remove access to games, progress, online services, Store orders, and external-account links, with associated data potentially permanently deleted. Contact Support promptly, but do not assume deletion can be reversed.

Can I see the Ubisoft email from Xbox?
Usually not reliably. Xbox identifies the active Microsoft account and gamertag; check Ubisoft Account Information for the Ubisoft email and linked Xbox entry.

Can I use the same Ubisoft account on another Xbox?
You can sign in to the same Ubisoft account on another compatible Xbox profile, but the platform account and game’s licensing or progression rules determine what carries over. Check the specific game’s current documentation.

Do not assume either outcome. Ubisoft says consequences vary by game and linking system; progress, purchases, or rewards may remain associated with the original Ubisoft account. Check the account-linking guidance and ask Support before unlinking.
